I really love all of the possessions that I have earned during my lifetime. I have a terrific sense of pride in the fact that I worked hard to achieve my goals and my possessions. I live in a beautiful mansion. I drive a gorgeous rolls-royce. Well, I don't drive it, my driver does. The fact that I can travel around the world in my private jet is really exhilarating!
I really do love my life more now that I have so much. It is a much happier existence. I could never go back to not having much of anything again. Life would be so boring! The difference between the producers of this video and me are just that they tend to assume that their way of living is the best. I don't think it can be qualified that way. There is no good or bad. There only is what people enjoy. I enjoy being rich and they enjoy not being rich. There is no need for them to chastise those people who don't become minimalist. I would never chastise them for being minimalist.😊

It is interest how you seem to love the Rat Race and want ever more. For have you any investment in pushing people to live outside their means? Also, have you ever said that enough is ENOUGH?

@@antispindr8613 thanks for your reply. Well, if by the rat race, you mean not being a minimalist, then yes I do enjoy it as I said in my first comment.
You asked me if I push people. My personal philosophy is to mind my own business. I don't try to tell other people how to live their lives and I really do appreciate it when they treat me that way as well. I hope you are doing well and enjoying life. Take care.😀
PS -. Yes, there are some things in my life that I tired of doing and said enough is enough. However, I don't think that's what you meant. As far as my own lifestyle? No, I have never even entertained the thought that enough is enough. Everyday is a new adventure.

If possessions make you happy and you enjoy life then that's for you but I suppose this vid is talking about when you have everything but are miserable and or feel bogged down/trapped/inhibited......then possessions (or attachment to them) are probably bad for your spirit. It's all about what brings your spirit down. The Bible says something about....'if your eye makes you stumble, tear it away from you'. Also,..... don't forget what it says about 'the LOVE of money' 😊

@@margo.3466 Well Margo, I don't know what you mean when you say Spirit but if you would read my original comment again you would see that my point is exactly the same point that you made. I wasn't trying to diminish minimalism. I was only pointing out that the video kept insinuating, if not outright saying, that minimalism was THE ONLY WAY. It's not!😀

I want to be a minimalist but I don't understand where should I actually start?

I just would like to be helpful to you, because the ideas on this video started playing in my head since I was about 15 and now I am 60. At the time I read no books or articles about it and had no one to discuss these questions of the meaning of things or experiences in life.
I am not a minimalist and I am not trying to be one, but I naturally try to focus on my values to guide my life. The only "problem is: life happens, mental problems, difficult moments, financial difficulties, family 10:00 dramas,
raising kids all sorts of things. Good and bad experiences passes your way and sometimes these ideals in you had can make you feel inadequate for departing from them. So you feel lost and uncomfortable.
That is when, once more, you give your self a break ,in my case, give in to sugar cravings, buy some lovely stationary or go treasure hunting at the pound shop (Maybe I am just cheap, not as ful of minimalistic ideals, as I supposed!)😮😂
So I am not taking side either to say minimalis is good or bad, l am just someone who chased some of the minimalist goals and still do, but I know life is messy and even if many, maybe even most(?) people navigate it better than l do, big waves are to be encountered by everyone .
FINNALY answering your question I suggest you start from your heart asking: what is really important to me ? Then get some advice from your brain and try to see what are the points of a minimalist lifestyle that can help you to keep you in touch with that important stuff.
Then if you like to subscribe to the minimalist life style, or be part of a community or to use the experience of other people that is already following this life style which resinates with you, I think this channel seems to be a good start and you tube surely has many channels and resources, including audiobooks, etc.
But the only guideline you should never loose touch with is the one that guides you back to your heart. And even that many times will escape you. But that's all right: Home is always were You are❣️
      Take care and good luck!!✨😊
