Great review! Thank you very much for supplying such a variety of images, locations, and settings. This defiantly helped me make an informed decision. Keep it up!

I need someone's opinion that knows more about Action Cams (Because I am completely lost!) I wanted a Camera to take to a concert that wouldn't be destroyed by water damage or impact. I discovered the Polaroid Cube and was set on buying it but it was unavailable to purchase until three days after the concert. So, my sister bought me the Hero 4 session. I took it to the concert and had no problems with it there. Though when reviewing it the video quality is horrible, and nothing AT ALL like the commercials. All of the faces are distorted, and the videos are very blotchy (Squares are very noticeable). The audio is amazing and was very clear, so with that I was impressed. I have never owned a GoPro before, everything is extremely confusing, so maybe I am doing something wrong. I'm very worried that 199$ that I didn't really have to spend, was wasted. My question is, (In your opinion, and for what I need as far as a concert camera goes) should I return the GoPro and buy the Polaroid Cube?? Or is there a way I could up the quality of the videos I filmed??
I would VERY MUCH appreciate your advice, Thanks!!!

+Kimberlyn Muncy Can you link me or give me the exact micro sd card you are using? Does your footage match mine in any sort of way?

To make today a polaroid cube vs gopro session video, when you can do it with polaroid cube + is a little bit outdated.

+javier rivera velasco We filmed that comparison at the same time we filmed this one. Session is only a few months old and the 1.5 update that came out a month ago changed the Session drastically. Plus the Session has had a $100 price cut since most people did their initial impressions. With the biggest shopping day of the year a week away and both these cameras on shelves, it seemed worth my time. czcams.com/video/ktPPVd0cmCk/video.html

Hi, please, consider comparision between Mobius and some more expensive and well spoken models like GoPro Hero or Sony AZ1. I own mobius for some time now and bought Sony AZ1 for my wife, as always-in-purse camera. I am very disappointed by video quality of Sony AZ1 compared to Mobius. Image is very washed out and blury. :C( I feel like people should know that some cameras does not worth to buy. :C/

+Miloslav Stibor I'll see what I can do. My budget it tapped for the season. But I'll reach out to a few people who might be able to help.

Mark, I am not sure if I am color blind or you are? While both cams are lacking in many ways, the Polaroid looked a lot better to me, especially the colors. You gave the Session far too much credit, IMO. And when you consider cost, no contest at all (even with the 2nd Session price reduction). Far better choices out there, for lot less money...

+Walter Klatt It's areas like 1:50 where the limitations in color (on not just about which one has better saturation) on the Polaroid are good examples of the issues I have. The limited values eating into edges even though the brightness of the lamp pole and sun rising are very different. Or 2:54 when the Polaroid is just pulsing grain over the entire video. The camera is just not consistent in it's results.

+MarkHawkCam I know what you are saying, Mark, and I have heard you mention many times about saturation not being everything. I don't disagree with that. However, you need to remember that these cameras are primarily aimed at consumers who are not going to be doing a lot of post production. And there is no question (in my mind) that the higher saturation of the Cube (as well as some other non Gopros) is more pleasing to the eye of the normal consumer. Having said that, this Cube is not the best either, and not hard to find flaws with it. But I think at least you get what you pay for with it.

+KingStivan Check out the photo below. I believe I say in the beginning that we filmed this at the same time with other cameras. Basically syncing 3 cameras while filming to create 3 comparisons at the same time. As a one man team, this helps cut down on a lot of time outside filming instead of editing. instagram.com/p/9SIPOSsuNi/?taken-by=markhawkcam

The true test of these cameras is to just turn on and go, without having to go into the menus and spend 10 minutes changing the settings. Polaroid colors look better. Just film it and go, neither camera is meant for professional use, good lord, not filming a Spielberg movie here. By the way, the waterproof case for the Cube is only $15, good down to 45 meters.
