I love that flooring. It has a rustic reclaimed wood feel to it, and with how clean and sharp the rest of the house is, it really warms things up nicely.

Snakes will always be around. I grew up in the country and everytime we went outside, my siblings and I were told to watch for snakes. We were conditioned to be aware of the dangers.

Hi guys, I came across one of your videos one day surfing CZcams and I discovered something you don’t always find in this world of stressful times. I enjoyed your videos so much I had to go all the way back to the beginning and watch each and every one.
Mackenzie, I was so entertained by your sense of humor (leveling of your eyebrows), your absolute love and devotion to your husband and children. Thank you for letting your viewers share in the arrival of Beau, IO, and then your new baby. You are a fantastic mother and blessed to be able to raise your children in such a wonderful place. Except for those snakes, yikes. Don’t lose your sense of humor. You sure have become quite the little carpenter. Also, what a great dog (project supervisor) Bear is. I like the cows and donkeys too.
Spencer, the commitment you have for your wife, children and your courage to even attempt something of this magnitude is simply amazing. I admire how you have researched and learned so much with all of your carpentry, electrical, plumbing etc. skills by yourself, and you’re not afraid to show your mistakes. What an accomplishment. So excited to see this home finishing!!! My parents built our home when we were small. They did it on the weekends and paid as they went. Its going to be awesome to have your home paid for and just focus on living life and raising your family.

There are lots of things they can work on next - underpin the house, add a carport, fix the barn up, playground for the kids, new dock, add on to the house, start a vegetable garden, etc.
Building our own Off-Grid home by ourselves and I don't think we'll ever be done.....part of the joy
