As I listen to you talk about time and sharing your journey, it dawns on me that we've got to see those babies grow, and THAT makes me realize how much the time has gone by. It's been amazing to get to be a part of it in some way.
I love the stain on the skirting. It compliments the grey of the shipping containers and especially the wood used on the porches. Spencer is turning out to be a real craftsman, the design of the skirting is first rate!
I agree...the warmer tones of the stain prevent the grey on the house from looking "cold." And the design for the skirting? Fantastic! Good job to Spencer!

@@PencilDust7 I think you are mistaken, the house is less than 900 square feet including extensions. Current average is supposedly 2300 sq ft. The average before the 2000’s was around 1300 sq ft.

The wood underneath makes such a difference in the appearance of the containers. There is a lot of container builds out there on CZcams, but yours is now one of the best as you address all the final little details. Only a few more little projects and your dream home will be complete and you can finally relax and take a break. Looking forward to the next project you take on, hoping it's a remodel of the barn :)

Everything looks so good. I love the skirting. You should save some of those low branches and make the kids a tire swing. My grandkids love theirs. Just check it before they get on it for snakes. Yay for faster Internet! But you really should place the dish at the highest point of the house so you don't block it's view of the entire sky. This allows the dish to train to the best sat, and not just one that's not blocked.
Well it doesn't train to one dish. Starlink birds are moving in low earth orbit. They aren't stationary.
Dishy McFlatface is a phased array so it trains on to multiple birds. Yes, you want to give it good northern exposure, but also there's roof integrity to be thought of too. I think this spot will be just fine for now.
Too bad Spencer didn't realize you can unplug from the dish side of things instead of the router side and you get get away with a smaller hole. I think 5/8 would be fine from my memory.

Kenzie please be careful out in the heat, heat stroke sneaks up on you before you know it. The skirting really finishes the house and the color choice is beautiful and consistent with the porches. You guys have come so far! I am so glad you & Spencer share your lives with us. I can't believe how fast the kids are growing. At some point a swingset will be needed, Beau is ready and Cam will be right behind her. I'm in awe of all you both have accomplished while having babies and building a house and making a home. May you have many, many years of love, joy and happiness in your home!

Should you be in the heat for a time and you begin to feel cold and clammy with loss of skin tone it is time to get into cooler temperatures. It is unmistakable and you really don't want to let the body get that far. Listen to your body.

Not JUST a swing-set.......a PLAYGROUND! Several units can be removed as the kids get too old for them. I once made a 14-foot slide....had heavier gauge steel professionally bent to fit over a 2X4 base. Used a good quality car-wax twice a year to keep the slide ZOOMIN'

So happy for you guys on the starlink! I was in a similar position, living on the outskirts of town and very limited on internet. Fortunately we have a local ISP that eventually gave us a much better broadband and then eventually gave us the option for fiber optic! What a game changer! It's a little thing, but I hope you all get to enjoy and be satisfied with your hard work and get to enjoy the life you have created! Well done! Much respect Spencer & Kenz!

I love watching your channel, how the house progression and other projects go, the way your kids are growing so fast. But do be mindful of the heat. Here on the west side of Texas are feeling it as well. Stay cool, hydrated, and don't wait until you get "delirious" to get out of it. It's dangerous this year.

been watching you guys journey from the beginning. i just got done watching your funny moments from 2018. i miss how you had bloopers at the end of your videos. you guys if you have time should take a trip down memory lane .
You should put your starlink dish right up on the top roof. The roof beside it will occlude a significant portion of the sky and you will need as much sky as possible to get decent reliability with all those big trees you already have taking so much of the horizon away from you.
Use the visibility tool in your starlink app to visualise how much of the sky is unavailable to you with your current mounting position.
I'm sure you have already noticed the disconnected periods are frequent and long and likely have already worked out your position needs to change. ;)
Uhm, not only this but the plug that goes into the antenna is significantly smaller and straight (no 1 3/4" hole).
I know you both are going to enjoy your home in the many years to come, but this journey you both have taken us on is going to come to a close some day and I want you to know....YOU BOTH cant stop!!! We’ve had our STARLINK for over 5 months now & love it!! It was well worth the wait!!!!
How is the ping? With the starlink ...speed is nothing if your response time is 500 ms ... at least not to me.

@@christophmichel9496 Mine is an average of 30 to 35ms. Zero lag when online gaming or streaming. Pulling anywhere from 100mbps to 500mbps download. I can live with 5mbps but the extra is nice. I have the rv version since I travel full time.

As I'm watching, I'm picturing all the outdoor projects you can do later. A playground for the kids, perhaps a swimming pool too which can be made from an open-top shipping container, & of course the outdoor shower project that you've already mentioned.

Spencer and Kenzi, you two are amazing. Spencer's construction skills and Kenzi's videography skills prove you can accomplish any major task with a little research and perseverance.
One suggestion, I have mini splits in my house as well. I covered the outlet end of the condensate line with a screen to keep bugs out of the line and out of the house but still let the water out.
Covering the ends of those lines sounds like a wonderful idea. I literally hate insects in and around my house.
I’ve been thinking about using some mini splits when I put my new house in. So thank you for the idea.
I remember being like 13 or 14 suicidal to the max and at the time I decide to try to steer clear of all negative thoughts for a minute and think.. I remember seeing how happy and positive you guys were even in the worst of times. I envied that. wanted to be happy like you guys. so I started watching around the third or fourth video. you guys made me laugh and smile constantly while at the same time I slowly watched the house come together from then until now. i lost you guys for abit and found you guys again last month to see what all the years have led up too. I remember seeing the first born be born back then and now y'all have two!!? I so proud of you two and your lil family. I've seen all the progress you guys have made throughout the years and I just wanted to thank you guys and let y'all know that if it wasn't for you guys opening my eyes when you did.. Being able to watch your videos and build your lives and lifestyle is such a joy. I feel like I'm there with you and I am in spirit. But your expression of appreciation brought tears to my eyes. The plants around the house have grown so much in a years time. Really approves the appearance around the house. The skirting project is looking amazingly terrific. Spencer has worked his butt off doing it that way.
You must keep us informed about your Starlink system. I considering going that route too. I think you be able to get way more than 189mg/20mg though. I'm thinking at least double that speed should be available to you guys. Be well and stay safe, you're in my prayers.

Received my RV Starlink a few days ago. Works great as long as there are no obstructions, heavy storms, etc. I drilled a hole for a PVC pipe to get the cable inside my Tiny Home.
