Instead of using only water to stick the pieces, you should try to use slip, slip is a mixture of 3:1 clay and water, it's so easy to make, just soak the clay (i soak it in water overnight) and then mix it, this slip work as a glue for the clay. Btw you did a really great job, I've been looking for this tutorial but im not sure yet to make that aromatherapy burner😂
hi! what garnish do you use in here? I'm new to clay and I have no clue of what to put on my works to protect them, especially because I'm making some incense burners and candle plates :/ your piece is so pretty btw 💕💕
I’ve been trying to figure out if this is something I can do with sculpey clay and acrylic paint. I’m not sure if either of those are heat or oil resistant
This probably isn't relevant anymore but just in case someone is wondering; do not expose acrylics to heat. Acrylic mediums and acrylic paint are not compatible with heat (unless packaging claims so). When exposed to hot temperatures acrylics can begin to produce/emit a gas/vapor that may be toxic. As an example, it is for this reason why paints suitable for painting radiators never contain acrylics.

I mostly use clear acrylic spray paint to varnish and protect them. It gives the pieces a nice sealing coat. And you can buy it in doff or glossy

I don't think so.. from what I know sculpey is polymer clay which is a form of plastic
