Tune does not exist for the N51/SULEV model, not needed since it already has 3 stage from factory
If you see RSA Delete DO NOT FLASH IT by itself, you will brick your DME
Yeah to my understanding doing just the RSA delete on any platform will leave your car without anything
It does have 3 stage but it's still not using it to full capacity, more so for fuel efficiency. I don't remember numbers exactly but I think n51 stock HP numbers are comparable to 325i stock tune numbers. (Slightly less than 230hp) 255hp 330i

IMPORTANT UPDATE: It's been pointed out to me that I made a crucial mistake. The 2007 models also have a plastic valve cover with built-in PCV meaning that you do not need to worry about the oil separator underneath the manifold and just use the 'F' shaped return hose. In my video I mistakenly put 2008 as the year they changed the design. My apologies.

I was literally thinking it doesnt make sense cuz my manifold doesnt have it bjt the 3 stage one has it, so i can just hook up the crank case vent hose and the oil will find its way into the valve cover

My 2007 n52 has a plastic valve cover that has the integrated baffle, so no external oil separator on the manifold. Just wanted to clarify your comment about 2008’s. Nice bud dude. I’m doing mine in a few weeks. I already have the free tune just waiting on the DISAs now.

My only question is if the batch files would work for an N51 to utilize the 3 stage intake manifold properly? I know AA has an N51/N52 tune but I don't wanna drop those numbers just to turn my 3 stage intake on 😂
Thanks! As of now Bimmerlabs doesn't have support for N51 anymore, I believe some other companies do offer support for n51. Sorry for the late response

BE WARNED: Do not use an intake from a 2006 model year car if your car is newer, the 2006 intake only has one port for the CCV system, the intake shown in this video has 2, and as mentioned in the video; cars produced after 2007/8 the updated engine with a plastic valve cover will absolutely require a 2-port manifold, BMW does not make a replacement hose that only runs to 1 port for these later models with an internal CCV system
It’s fine, just need to plug one of the lines, not a big deal really
To add on to this, the early ones made in late 05, early 06, are different also

Hi maybe you can help im going nuts trying to figure this out. I have an 07 525 i magnesium vc. Got a intake feom 06 530 also took the ecu/dme. Installed everything had a locksmith come make a key and car runs. But has no balls at all. Launch c reader elite reads the ecu as my original 525 ecu but my original is waster damaged so qhats goin on? It ont detect that its has valvetronic

It's a little scary, but if you do everything carefully and leave it on a battery charger you'll be good. And nothing to worry about with your emissions either 👍

Great video. How did the aftermarket Disa valves hold up? Are these any good or oem is better?
I've had no issues with them, I've had 2 sets of them on different cars and never had any problems. They might even be better than the oem ones because these have metal "hinges" whereas the oem ones are all plastic to my understanding

Wait so if I have a 08 328i do I still get the Oil separator PCV system or do I just place the 3 stage on as if it’s not there?
On 08 you would bypass the external separator and use an f shaped hose

Hardware wise, yes. As for the tune, not certain with bimmerlabs. You should be able to if the ECU is MSV70 or 80. They didn't sell 323s in the US so I don't know much about them.
okay so does the 328I and the 325 i share the same engine?? I am from India I am considering to buy a used e90 330i( the same car as 328I) but those things are rare and I also have to do a manual swap on it because a everything is almost an automatic soo.. I see a lot of 325i s but they only make 210hp when compared to the 330i which makes 250 ish so please guide me
Yes, that's correct they both use the single port manifold

It is not any easier or harder to do VCG with intake manifold removed, so the timing doesn't matter. Thanks for watching!

Coolant hose flanse to the head is also plastic. I changed that for an aluminium one

They'll work without the tune but not to it's full potential. Very noticeable difference after the tune.

No, this mod pertains to the n52 engines only

To better utilize the 3 stage on N51 you need an aftermarket tune. 22rpd is a great new option, and in fact the only aftermarket tuner that supports n51 as far as I know. Not sponsored lol

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking, but a tune will take full advantage of the 3 stage manifold. There are only a few companies supporting n51 at this time, none of which are free. The Bimmerlabs flash does not work with N51.

My 125i came with the N52B30a and has the three stage intake, I’m not sure on the 325i but it should be the same.

Hi I have a project wich is a bmw 328xi 2007 the problem is the it caught fire and the plastic got melt so im replacing the entire Harnees wires everything looks to fit with ecu and sensors do you think once i finished everything as its supposed is going to turn on as before or do ima need a tunes or som like that to get it running? Is my first expierence with this and i would appreciate your help thanks!
Also when the car was in fire it was actually running fine without any advertisments on the dash but never turned on again after that time the fire cause was probably oil leaking into the exhaust manifold Basically the fire melt only the cables plastics and secondarys things so im wondering if im going to need to repgram the car once i finished doing the wire to make it run?
Nope, assuming nothing else is damaged you won't have to do anything after replacing the wiring harness

Great video this is something I'm doing. I already have the stage 3 manifold and i have an N53 engine but its a 325 and i want a 330i conversion. Disa Valves are coming 11617 579 114 & 11617560 538.

As far as I know all N51/n52 wiring harnesses have got the hookups for them. Not certain on n53 because they never sold here in the US, but take a look under your hood. They'll be clipped to the intake manifold on the front side if so

No, not significantly so. It's an OEM upgrade, the disa flaps fail eventually but I wouldn't say your car would be any worse off with it installed

You're gonna want the *30i tune. Bimmerlabs is the free option I show in the end of the vid.

Well the chassis and was offered from factory won't matter as long as your ECU is supported by the available tuning options. Bimmerlabs for example, supports MSV70 and MSV80 ECUs. If one of those is utilized in your car, the bimmerlabs tune will work for free. And no problem, thank you !
Couldn’t you just add a n54 intake manifold on it? I’m asking cause I have a n52 but someone told me I could put a n54 after told them about me putting a stage 3 manifold on it
Yup, it's a thing too it's just not a direct bolt up. It takes a little more work to modify it to work and the benefits depend on your goals and setup. I will probably be doing a video about it at some point.

Then you'd just need to find a tuner that supports n51 to get the most out of the manifold. Currently 22rpd is the only tuner I'm aware of that supports n51

In theory replacing the valve cover with the magnesium valve cover and Stage 3 with Oil Separator will work
Like replacing the plastic one with the magnesium one? I've seen it done with oil catch cans. Idk if the wiring harness with the updated design had the plugs for the oil separator.

Stage 3 installed. my main problem was 1 port to 2 but the hose from the valve cover to the oil separator is at a weird angle in my car. I dont think my oil separator had a power cable so its currently unplugged, we see how that goes in my -30 Celsius weather.

Anybody still using this just a heads up when changing the EDIABAS configuration code or any code for that matter. The # sign at the beginning of any line makes that line inactive as if that line is not there so where it says #Interface = REMOTE, that line is not active and it’s not supposed to be active. If you remove that # sign it will become active and you’ll likely have two interfaces and may or may not get some sort of an error.

Nope, probably not. All depends on your ECU, which yours will probably be MSV80, which would work. Make an account on the website and type in your vin and you'll know for sure

I believe this only works with the 525 and up, the 523 has a 2.5 liter engine with different ports unfortunately
If you have the plugs for the Disa valves I imagine it will work. But I'm not certain because we don't have x23i BMWs in my market.

I don't think it affects it, because they sold 330i's in California. Don't quote me, because I can't exactly guarantee, but I don't see how they would know that you've changed the tune regardless. You could even argue you're changed to another factory tune lol. I think you'll be okay tho !

The horsepower claims are absolutely ridiculous, and the idea of directing air to individual cylinders is BS. Very helpful video! I have an 2008 N53 325i E93.Bought an N53 B30A 3 stage inlet manifold with DISA valves & throttle body off a 330i. Is it a straight bolt on or do certain parts have to be interchanged? Thanks for your advice.
I don't believe this works for N53. To my understanding N53 has the top block of an n54, which has a different mounting for the manifold. But I'm certain because they never offered that in the US market
