Here we go Porsche fans - this one’s for you!
We’ve got our hands on the glorious Porsche 911 GT3, and it’s going up against the Cayman GT4 RS! The question is, which will come out on top?
Well, let’s take a look at the stats, starting with the GT3. It rolls up equipped with a 4-litre naturally-aspirated flat-six, and this can put down 510hp and 470Nm. This is sent to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch, and to pick one up now it will cost around £146,000.
Then we come to the Cayman. It’s also powered by a 4-litre naturally-aspirated flat-six, but in this instance, the output is 500hp and 450Nm. It’s also a super light car, weighing in at just 1,415kg! In comparison, the GT3 comes in slightly heavier, at 1,435kg.
So the GT3 has slightly more power, but will the weight difference prove decisive? There’s only one way to find out for sure… LET’S RACE!

Matt's reaction time is basically cheating. The fastest reaction time in F1 is around 0.2 seconds but Matt is setting off under this time therefore he's predicting when the hands drop. She needs count 3,2,1 and then leave a random amount of time before her hands drop so Matt cannot second guess it. Or, just use a bright torch and set off when the light turns off.
He jumps the start so often and they call it clean.

@@Xzibitfreek Honestly from what we saw It looked as if GT4RS not only was slightly lighter but also had more power (different gearbox programming?). Looking purely at the stats you would paint a different picture.

Petition for Carwow to implement some starting race lights! All this work put in these videos, and saving recourses on such an essential thing, really? Matt, please listen your audience on this!

I detected two things. Matt jumping the line twice for sure. Arms down is go. Not arms up. Also a LOT of under tension and sincere upset feelings on Yanni despite trying to joke about it. Hope you guys continue to do fun videos together and this episode didn't ruin anything between you

Every racer knows you go as soon as the hand flinches, not when the hands are on the side. They do that on Street Outlaws, Hoonigan, Carwow.

I literally saw a GT4 RS today in grey by where i worked. I was amazed at how loud it was. I think its the loudest Porsche I've ever heard, it was a great sound. Usually Porsches sound very tame.

Great comparison. FYI, noticed your suction cup camera mount. If you want to capture the best footage angle I use the RoadSpy RS1 on my Cayman. Way way better than those suction cups.
