It is the world's first electric vehicle that can complete two laps of the Nuburgring with a stock car. The lap time speed is 7 minutes and 45 seconds.
I’d be all over this car as long as I can find the defeat switch on the ‘transmission’. I love Hyundais.
You have to turn the noise and gears on. It actually reduces performance to simulate the gears. It's just for fun.
That's what we want for the future: a car that can feel both like a petrol car AND an electric car. Props to Hyundai

I think the simulated ICE characteristics is a brilliant idea! I see a future where more manufacturers will offer something similar! Third-party companies will offer different driving profiles that you can download to your car! This is a game changer!

It actually has gear shifting sounds😂. I don't get all the hate on electric cars though. Sure, nothing beats the sound of a real petrol engine and buying aftermarket parts, but everyone is so biased. Just because it is electric doesn't mean it can't be fun.
It's not just the sounds, it does things like cut power when you hit the rev limiter, it uses Regen to simulate engine drag on a down shift... It's a full on simulation of the whole experience. It even lugs if you put it in a high gear at slow speeds.
Somehow fake sound isn't any worse than it is in ICE cars when it's mixed with real sound.. I mean the relatively normal one at 3:28

About a second slower 100-200 than a G80 M3 with 140hp less. But looks like the first 'fun' EV.
Dont think EVs will produce their p3ak power throughout the whole power band. They loose power with higher rpms

100 - 200 times are really aero-sensitive and the Ioniq 5 N fairly closely resembles a brick in terms of drag.
@@romansenger2322 BMW i5 M60 and Tesla Model S Plaid for example produce their max power till vmax.
@@damncriticsit simply does not keep its power until 200. It drops off. ICE cars can shift gears to stay in the perfect power window. EV cars are different. Some have full power from 0-200, some already lose power at 50 etc. There is a big difference between permanent power and maximum power

@@thomasvestergaard4864 it is faster. Look at the numbers. You are entitled to your opinion but not to your facts. M3p does 0-60 in 2.9 seconds. Both have about the same top speed. With upgraded breaks, m3p is still cheaper. Lighter a d better center of gravity.

@@CaliSteve169 still it burns the brakes, the tesla, cant handle track driving as good as the 5N. 100-200 5N is quicker, 1/4 mile the same times... Only tesla is faster from 0-100 and 5n wins 100-200, but yes cheaper, but start beginning cursing over the bad track brakes and pads, tesla delivered once again...

Its not that impressive at all. 3.55 seconds to 100 and 9 seconds from 100-200 is hardly impressive for almost 650hp. It has only one gear, so its really slow > 220Km/h. Its big and heavy. You wouldnt outrun a normal RS3 with 400hp in that thing.

From what I’ve seen in other reviews, it’s basically impossible to tell (other than the noise) whether you’re driving an electric or an 8 speed manual ICE.
Kudos to the folks who programmed that. It must’ve taken a lot of work. I bet the aftermarket will be full of better engine sounds as well. I’d be interested to see if they could do the same programming with a ‘manual.’
This is the first electric to give me a little hope that the future won’t be completely devoid of a fun driving experience.

As a person who drove it on Autodrom Most international racing circuit, I can honestly say it is great! It is fun and it helps you assess the speed. And I really hate artificial sound on combustion cars (I have Mini with that).
6% in 30 seconds. It gives us 8 minutes of fast driving before being forced to recharge. Epic.

When I ws a kid I had a huge slot car race track. The cars were all electric and LOUD!! I don't understand why the electric cars now aren't like that. If anything, they compress the crazy noise electric motors make. How 'bout make a car without the mufflers and let it scream like it's supposed to, then we have a noise truly associated with the electric car, which can be appreciated, like the one Ken drove, that Audi, I LOOOOVED that sound!!

Yeah you have a point. You should also look at electric trains. They have a large diversity and range of sounds made by the motors which is really interesting. I love them for the same reason I like combustion cars. They can also try fitting GTO thyristors

I own an ioniq 5N in Korea, when using n e-shift it actually makes a shift impact, it has the same impact as a dct mission. This function is using regenerative braking systems. This gives me a lot of fun when I need driving fun. I hope your question has been solved.

In the manual it builds up boost so normal mode is faster
Had a ride as a passenger in these, may be slower, but much more fun than a Model 3 Performance. More expensive unfortunately too.

Running fast in a straight line is not difficult. It's very difficult to turn corners very well. The Ioniq 5N does very well.

One thing that makes me kind of nervous about electric cars is that type of acceleration (and weight) in the hands of relatively inexperienced drivers.

I regularly see 1/4 mile times of 11.0-11.2 with these, and 100-200 is 8 flat, best being 7,8. You have to be in the right drive modes tho.

Ab 50% sind es auf einmal nur noch 12 Sekunden 😂 ich bezeichne E Autos immer als den Sportwagen für die Leute die sich keinen echten Sportwagen kaufen können (70.000€ für 500-600ps gibt es nicht bei Benziner). Aber deshalb ist es eben auch nur nen halber Sportwagen, weil sound fehlt halt 😂 Aber jeder wie er mag 😊
