One day after I videotaped a picket of Scientology, my neighborhood was covered with leaflets smearing me. Shortly after, two Scientologists showed up at my home to picket me.
These scientologists are INCREDIBLE. They ALWAYS contradict themselves, it never fails. First let's establish that both scientologists are strangers to Mark bc he has to ask for both of their names. Following that premise, the ONLY info the scientologists have on Mark is what their "church" told them: name, address, and that he's critical toward Scientology...GUARANTEED. These moron scientologists start asking Mark about their "church" then they both proceed to tell Mark he doesn't know anything about what he's criticizing. These Scientology idiots contradict themselves without even realizing it and they do so with a straight face like they just made the best, most legit and sensible argument in the entire world. Alright.... If it's your opinion that someone doesn't know anything about what they're criticizing, expressing that opinion while you're holding a sign that criticizes the character of a complete stranger, someone you know absolutely nothing about, probably isn't the best time. Just saying.

Moving to a new area. But I stand with what I said that recruiting people when they are at their lowest should be a crime. It is emotional manipulation of the highest caliber and even the smartest people in the world fall for it if you catch them at their worst/most hopeless because they would be willing to try ANYTHING to turn their life around and before they know it, they are up to their necks in a cult that they can't leave! This is one of my favorite Scientology videos because Mark does such a phenomenal job of articulating his case rationally and calmly, with a compassionate overtone. I can tell the protester was struggling to process what he was hearing, and it's heartbreaking that he was so programmed that he had to weigh the evidence Mark was giving against his personal loyalties to the cult. I truly hope that guy got out. Great video.
A couple of other thoughts on the matter… 1) Does the IRS have any records of any/all the members of Scientology filing tax returns and the proper forms to declare charitable 'donations' to the "Church" I use the term very loosely. 2) Don't you agree that the picketers look more like nearly homeless folks who don't bath… rather than wear the Sea Org uniforms which might offer a scintilla of respectability??? Mark, I have seen on some newer videos that man in the video looks like he may have been sent to the RPF and chewed up & spit out. I love your videos, you inject humor and you never let them keep you from getting the job done! You have educated millions out there about this scam and seem to have fun doing it which is a plus. You seem to be the best to talk to him and people like him because you are so knowledgeable and empathetic. It's really sad to watch Dan because he seems so clearly trapped in his mind. The most recent video of him was during about December 2008, so I don't know where he could be or how he is doing now.

This is one of my favorite Scientology videos because Mark does such a phenomenal job of articulating his case rationally and calmly, with a compassionate overtone. I can tell the protester was struggling to process what he was hearing, and it's heartbreaking that he was so programmed that he had to weigh the evidence Mark was giving against his personal loyalties to the cult.
I truly hope that guy got out.

A couple of other thoughts on the matter…
1) Does the IRS have any records of any/all the members of Scientology filing tax returns and the proper forms to declare charitable 'donations' to the "Church" I use the term very loosely.
2) Don't you agree that the picketers look more like nearly homeless folks who don't bath… rather than wear the Sea Org uniforms which might offer a scintilla of respectability???
