    Apart from the fact that Madrid Barca are looked as the pinnacle of football. You would also eventually win more silverware if you are playing for a Barcelona or a Madrid. Premier league's too congested, many top teams, very competitive, less recovery time and after all this you are not guaranteed a trophy. NOT everyone has the heart to take on a challenge of this kind specially when you are at a certain age. A player's career is too short just to play in the most competitive league in the world for the sake of it.

    The Spanish La Liga teams have won 19 CL so far, not bad for a ''Farmers league'' compared to the self-proclaimed ''Best league in the world'' 14 CL trophies. If money was not an issue, most football players will choose to play for Barcelona or Real Madrid.

    • @Enigmatized13
      @Enigmatized13 Před rokem

      Well yeah because the best players play for Spain's big two, so not difficult to win more CL trophies when you have the very best players playing for you. Considering the PL clubs haven't had the very best players playing for them, the CL record is very good. I don't think anybody calls La Liga a farmers league.

    • @Zizoudinho10
      @Zizoudinho10 Před rokem +2

      @@Enigmatized13 That is It is not always the case that having the best players will win you the CL. The Premier league teams have the financial power to buy and assemble bigger and stronger squads, so you could say it is easier for them to challenge and win the CL. Premier League teams do have some of the best players in the world. Van Dyke, De Bruyne, Bernado Silva, Salah, Mane, T.A. Arnold, Reese James, so your statement that only Barca and Real have the best players is just nonsense. Why do they continue to attract the best and have the best players? Because they are the biggest, the most prestigious, and most glamorous clubs in the world. Rafinha would rather earn less and play for a financially troubled Barcelona than earn more playing for Chelsea. When I say ''farmers league'' I mean that the La Liga is only a two-horse race between Barca and Real, and maybe once in a while, Atletico might win or challenge the big two. La Liga is not a very competitive league like the Premier League, and yet they still manage to win 19 CL.

      So when Nottingham Forest won the CL twice in a row after having just been promoted 2 years earlier, you think that other leagues in Europe can match that?
      The problem with this debate is football is cyclical. We had the dominant league in the 70s/80s based on CL trophies won. Then it went to Italy, then to Spain, now looks like it is starting to swing to the Prem.
      But we literally can't confirm the future mate. This is a silly debate. Our league is the best league because of it's comeptitive nature.
      I live in Spain and watch La Liga and whilst I appreciate both Madrid and Barca, the rest of the league is ridiculously poor. It's possible to have the two best teams in football but not have the best league in the world.

      @@southerner6852 The debate here is not who has the best league. The debate here is in the title of this video.
      ''Are Barcelona & Real Madrid a more attractive move than the Premier League to players?''
      I made my points and argument in my previous comments. I agree football is cyclical, and I also said that La Liga is not a very competitive league like the Premier League.
      ''So when Nottingham Forest won the CL twice in a row after having just been promoted 2 years earlier, you think that other leagues in Europe can match that?''
      So, this is a ''silly debate'' and then you make a silly comment like this. I can also be silly and point out that Real Madrid has won 14 CL alone, that is as many CL the entire Premier League teams have won combined, you think that other leagues in Europe can match that?
      Look, mate, we can have a civilized and mature debate and agree to disagree, but please don't get so easily triggered by other people's opinions and comments.

      @@Zizoudinho10 I'm not triggered mate. Just pointing out that two of the CL titles England has was won by a team that got promoted a year before and won it twice in a row.
      That could never happen in La Liga. Believe me I know, I actually live here now and watch the league and have done for several years.
      Two biggest teams are Madrid and Barca in that order, but Madrid is the only ultimate team in Spain.

    FC Barcelona has already created its own history for years and has marked a time when English clubs kept kicking the goalkeeper long, and making fun of short corners. The Chelsie is simply creating its own path, its own history... There is no comparison possible. Another thing is the historic Liverpool or Manchester U. with much more history and epic in Europe. Despite the Barça current economic situation still has credit, earned the respect and admiration of the football world for a while.
    On the other hand, with all due respect to Chelsie or London, it's not Sitges or Barcelona. But that can always be arranged with a good sum of pounds from the State/Oligarchic Club on duty to compensate for all days without bright sun.
