I actually have this light. I love this light. Unfortunately the cord doesn't really stay in very well. Runs on 10,000 lms on my 4am for about on 1 hour. This light is terrific for my trade! (drywall taping)
Can you do a comparison of every driving/impact bits. You can do price, fitment, durability(if the bit snaps), wear of tip and whatever else is important in bits I'd want almost every brand or model like makita xsp and gold, ryobi, bosch, dewalt, millwaukee, craftsman, and maybe some harbor freight
As a contractor I've had good luck with Dewalt and Milwaukee bit sets I just buy whatever is the best deal between the 2 or has the best combination of bits. Phillips heads will always wear out and break the quickest as the Phillips is designed to cam out. I try to run torx or square bit screws whenever possible. The Makita while pretty good quality I always had issues with their bits getting stuck in the tool. Everything else has been below makita but I haven't tested Bosch yet.
I'd like to see a test where you have two mounted on a tripod backed with expensive battery packs, get them nice and hot then have someone trip over the cord and knock it down on the concrete slab. If they can take a few poundings like that then maybe that is great. I doubt you can even get parts to fix them so these become expensive disposable lights. I'd honestly like for you to beat the snot out of them, set them out in the rain, drop them, run them off a generator etc. so people know the durability rather than just do a show and tell. Tools that run on propriety batteries have screwed all consumers by locking you into one brand. Also having these expensive tools grow legs and walk off the job site or turn up missing on your truck is gonna hurt the pocket book. I'm not overly impressed. They missed an opportunity by not also making it a tandem battery charger.
Best review I've watched on this particular light.
Thanks for the review. Looks like a terrific light.

Wish I knew about this before I purchased the festool duo.
Great Vid but the lower mode has PWM that's sucks .

I only have one 18v battery. Dies it require 2 batteries?
10k lumens is unreal. Doesn't sunlight fill approx 5-10k lumens per square foot on a bright sunny day? If so, crazy!
Yep I have 2 on a Tripod and they are bright as hell!

Theres a guy named projectfarm on youtube he dose it all
Is the cable a standard computer cable? If so, you can get those in up to 25' lengths on Amazon if you did not want to run a separate extension cord.
That's nice to know
At the 1:30 mark, when the light is turned on, it is slightly flickering/pulsing? Can Makita comment on this or fix it?
@@Protoolreviews Good to know it is due to the camera. Thanks.
Would be nice if it charged the batteries
I have so many Makita batteries I wanted to get this light for filming. It's a shame though because it flickers on low and medium :(
Your best bet to avoid flicker in filming is incandescent light or any other resistive element technology lighting.
Does it have a built in charger ?
No.

Did I miss it, does it come with a battery?
its probably going to cost 1000 dollars in Australia
$1000 in Canada too lol
@@FireEmaR they priced it at 500 AUD, meanwhile the 3000 lumen version is 350 AUD, weird pricing...
Close! Just under 600 as off the exchange rate. Subject to change at any time off cause.
Эта лампа, она охуенна!
