Congrats, and hope she can bring the much needed changes to make Oakland a safe and great place.
When Politicians say rebuilding. Most Races thing gentrification. That is not positive. The People should see affordability, budgets, and better wages to keep their places and live in environments that are clean. The first thing People think is being overcharged and looking for a new place. Which is why the Builders who are starting fresh and enjoy their jobs do not overcharge. That way the Landlords and the Property Owners do not have to raise anything. The People who have been paying the property Owners for years money should go back into the properties to maintain the properties. That is what the money is for to save the majority of the money to keep the People who are giving the property Owners a way to save and invest in other things and not materalistic things more money so that they do not have to overcharge the People. A bill should be passed to not charge the People after the People have been paying for so long so much money to the point of evictions. Greed is not the norm. Most of these People call themselves God followers or good Patriots of the USA.

I would like to see whether than hear Anyone who asks to be the one to help Oakland do just that. Or it is reasonable reasons and probable cause for us to believe that the Title is the focus and not a real Politician is what is going on. People are now saying People sound like a Politician. The People who are saying this to People who they are debating is not saying this as a compliment. They are saying this to state that Someone is a liar. We need real Politicians who come ready day one to work. I would like to be the first one to remind the New Mayor that the first day that I would have came to work as the new Mayor. I would have contacted Builders who stated they do not overcharge to start the process with a funding in the City day one. Day two I would have contacted the People that tear down and removed abandoned everything in Oakland, CA. that has destroyed Oakland's beauty. There would have been an one week funding to raise money and pay Builders who volunteer and do not overcharge to bring back the beauty in Oakland. Some of my own money would have helped with the funding that Mayors can ask for to get the work completed. I am still dealing with your office Mayor denying that my home was burglarized. My home was ROBBED, grand larceny was committed at my Oakland home by collecting money that adds up to no longer being a petty crime but grand larceny. The Plaintiffs had two years to file for oral agreements and four years to file for written agreements to disagree. I had my proof. I did not disagree. Allegedly the Plaintiffs disagreed and there has not been any proof or anything besides felonies that makes sense since the Plaintiffs dragged me into this nonsense. The Plaintiffs knew exactly who was their problem. As far as I am concerned the Plaintiffs and the Trespassers are both to blame for lying like I was involved and need to take these Strangers name off of my home. I did not prevent any of them from filing and showing their proof according to California laws. The local Court definitely try stopping me from following cases with merits. That sounds like corruption and favors to me which gives me the right to have reasonable reasons and probable cause of being illegally attacked at my Oakland, CA. home. Thanks for sharing

Well, it is what it is...Taylor had the most votes, but this ranked choice nonsense somehow puts the loser in the winners seat. I don't know why anyone would really want such a thankless job, but it's hers now. She strikes me as a flag that flaps with the wind, so I'm not expecting much besides a lot of feel good platitudes. Combined with the election of Pamela Price as Alameda Co. DA, we are in for 4 years of politically correct posturing and not much else. Price is cut from the same cloth as Chesa Boudin, and the criminals who plague Oakland must be breathing a sigh of relief. Sad. I've lived in The Big O for 35 years, and this current dynamic duo will join a long list of failed activists who think they have all the answers, but don't.

This crap came to be because so many extreme left people would throw their votes away on fringy candidates like Jill Stein and then moan and groan about 'our voices aren't heard'.
