    There needs to be some sort of wildlife! Put some deer, bears, elk, or wolves to add something to the treelines. Maybe a pair of hunters at a hunting camp processing some animals, or just general outdoor campers.

      I read "wildfire" and immediately thought YES! Ofc I misread it lol but still! Maybe add some natural disaster on some part of the mock? And then some first responders on the scene? Maybe even a helicopter hovering above? I think something like that could really add more life to the city!

    I think it would be interesting to replace some of the green plates under those beautiful pine trees with brown plates, like the forest floor has trouble getting sunlight to grow grass, or is covered in fallen pine needles

    • @zaximotheoutlaw9840
      @zaximotheoutlaw9840 Před měsícem +29

      I agree with this! forest floors under pine trees are always gray/white/brown, maybe a little green :) because of the water that runs off the pine trees are so sour, that more or less nothing can grow under them, except mos, reindeer lichen and heather ^^ sometimes ferns can be found as well :)

      Some other comments mentioned adding brown into the vineyard and I think that would look great as well. It could also add some separation between the normal vegetation, the forest, and the vineyard. From some angles, the vineyard gets a little lost (but this is just a suggestion so do what ever you want. It's your Lego city!)

    Suggestion: add brown beneath the vineyard, it would create more color in an otherwise green flooded area as well as make it more realistic to a well-trampled and cared-for vineyard. Adding a winery in the old village would also help tie it into a greater connected story where wine was one of the most popular drinks in old villages.

  • @OllieV__nl
    @OllieV__nl Před měsícem +112

    I don't know if it's feasible, but the grapevines I've seen usually have dirt paths between them, not grass. It might be a fun detail to break up the wall of green. The path then could connect to the village and the (future) castle.

    • @samsturtevant4107

    • @executable3
      @executable3 Před měsícem +10

      I was thinking the same thing. Also it seems hard to see the vineyard in general. At first the green of the vines blended in with the green of the ground and then it was all mostly hidden behind the trees. It's a really cool idea, I hope it gets some more attention.

    For the interactive buttons (duel, mine) could you incorporate a bit of randomness to the sound effects? If I pressed the button and heard the sound I would then immediately want to press it again and see if its exactly the same. A bit of randomisation to the sound effects, order, duration, interval, pitch, loudness etc could go a long way. Like if the cowboys shot in a different order, or the explosion went off slightly differently each time. Also the people working there would get some variety.

    • @zakhenry
      @zakhenry Před měsícem +14

      Not to mention if it is the same sounds all the time it would quickly become irritating for someone working there, or even off looking at other displays. Randomness helps make it blend into the background noise

  • @Snapdragnn
    @Snapdragnn Před měsícem +36

    Great Work as always! Love the Lego Factory BTS!!
    Suggestion for the animations:
    I would add 2-3 different randomized animations and varied sound effects for each of them - that way when somebody presses it: A - it feels more interactive and varied, B - it doesn't get too repetitive for both visitors and yourselves/future staff.

  • @michaeltuohy4010
    @michaeltuohy4010 Před měsícem +25

    Imo, you need to aid a railing above the train tunnel. Someone could fall off so easily! Maybe a wooden one with some binoculars on it.
    Could have a bear approaching two people coming from the woods, one screaming in fear, the other still focused on the view through the binoculars! 😂

    For the vineyard, I think it would look better if you replaced the green tiles they sent on with brown to represent the field the trellis would be in. It'd also help break up a lot of the green in the area and make it stand out more. Might also be helpful to put a small gray wall around the field as well, just to really separate it from the surroundings. Just a thought! Love your videos, they remind me of being a kid when I would just lay on my floor and play with my legos all day building stuff.

  • @chanfonseka8051
    @chanfonseka8051 Před měsícem +4

    Idea for the hill extension to the left side: make the slope much more gradual, so that it blends more seamlessly into the plain. The sudden rise of the hill where the tunnel is, is not so natural. Try to keep the slope at 5 to 10 degrees, if you have the lateral space. This will also allow for easier building of tiny plateaus for campgrounds, huts, etc. Although camping that close to an airport is not ideal!

    Such beautiful work as always. Thank you for posting. I look forward to each new installment.
    One small suggestion for realism: the vineyard trellises in real life would be oriented parallel to the contour of the hillside. They don’t run perpendicular to the contour, straight up the hillside. That would be really hard on the people picking grapes!
    Anyway small detail I only mention because everything you do is so great. Cheers mate!

    Been loving watching the evolution of your city over the last few months! So much creativity and fun.
    Quick suggestion: You may already do this, but have you considered taking your bins or reusing the Lego bags for your trips to the Lego factory? It’s twice now I’ve seen you come away with like 40 seemingly single use bags and it makes me sad! Just a friendly suggestion for the planet! 😊

    I thought it was really cool how realistic you designed the runways in your airport. I had some other ideas too. You could add a VASI or PAPI lighting system next to the runway, Approach lights at the front the runway, A VOR station in the open space, a wind sock, a beacon light on the control tower or near it. All of these would take a small amount a bricks while adding a lot of realism and visual interest, most could also use lighting that would look awesome as well.

    the extreme height variance of the pine trees does a lot. Even though it's still a 'monoculture', it's your best looking forest.

    7:10 When you do interior lighting for the city houses, make sure to not light up everything and leave about half the windows dark. That would look very realistic. Maybe you can even set an automatic timer that turns different rooms on/off throughout the night

    Wow that forest looks so good! And getting people to build them for you is genius lol. Would be great to see some more forest next to the airport with maybe another lake!

    A few layout suggestions. A watermill/sawmill for your fir tree Forrest. Also by the airport you could add some wind socks.
