In grade school, (third grade) I had to make a
model, of a suspension bridge. I chose LEGO
bricks as my medium. (I'm 63 now.) I did not
have much flexibility, because LEGO sets, back
then, were REAL limited, as far as non "buildings"
LEGOs. Yes, there were some gears, and wheels.
I just imagine, had I had Technics, back then.
Was not all that big, about 1.5 feet long roadbed,
and 10 inch towers. The main cables were string,
and the suspender cables were strong thread.

I knew James May was a Lego geek but I didn’t know that he built a whole life-size Lego House😂😂
He did it for his short series "toy stories" where he took various toys and used them for various records.
I think lego is different from any other toy. its a toy that has built my childhood and millions of others too. it brings out the creativity in anyone weather they are city builders or lord of the rings fans. the fact that anyone can pick up a hand full of bricks and let their imagination run wild is truly astounding. it is always fun to look back and see how far we have come as a community. so next time you are feeling down or even just bord, try picking up a hand full of bricks of your own and just build.

That speed build of the Millennium Falcon is really impressive, It took me ages to put that set together by myself, 7100 pieces is a beast of a build.
curious how long you took per day and how long it took you over all? I am debating on getting that thing. lol. seems less fun tbh lmaooooo
@@OnceShy_TwiceBitten no joke it took me an entire week to put together at about 3-4 hours per day, there are far more pieces to the build then it seems. The instruction book itself weighs a ton lol overall the build was very difficult, easily the hardest I’ve done but when it was complete it was just enormous. I don’t think I would enjoy doing it a second time.
I might get lost trying to figure out how to start the darn thing.

The worlds largest Lego structure with the most bricks is actually the tree of creativity in Billund Denmark. It stands at 15.68 metres and is built out of 6.3 million bricks :D

My favorite is de Lego Great Ball Contraption record. It is not in the video and it is a very competative record, but it has been held by some dutch guys who tried to get me in to GBC many times (still failed, not enough time to design and build) So to know people with a world record is just really cool.

Ive been to durham so I know the durham cathedral and I took part in building the Lego model of it I always used to go down and donate some money so I can build a little bit and after about 1-2 years it’s finally complete and it looks awesome!!!
