New Fuel Pump & Sending Unit Assembly from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ib/1AFPU00451
This video shows you how to install a new TRQ fuel pump with integrated sending unit in your 2002-2007 Jeep Liberty. Combustion engines need three things to operate: fuel, air, and spark. If your fuel pump isn’t delivering the fuel your engine needs, it will run poorly, or not at all. Or, the pump is fine, but your fuel gauge isn’t working. Many modern pumps include an integrated sending unit. Either way, a new engineered to fit fuel pump for TRQ is just what you need. This video shows you how to install a new TRQ fuel pump with integrated sending unit in your 2002-2007 Jeep Liberty.

Will this process be the same with 2004 jeep liberty ?

The new pump seal was not lying flat in its' groove. I tried to install a new seal on my 2003 liberty and the seal does fit the groove it is supposed to go into. The pump will not be sealed correctly if is tightened down with seal partially out of the groove. I had to reuse my old seal.

That’s the bracket for the evap pressure sensor. It has two 10mm nuts. He goes over this step around midway through the video. 👍🏽

I used an angle grinder to create an access panel with aluminum cover sealed with weatherstripping just in case the fuel pump should quit. Hopefully using Marvel mystery oil should help lubricate the turbine pump to avoid premature seizure-failure but they would last a lot longer with leaded gas.

I have a 2006 Jeep Liberty, throws a U1411 code implausible fuel volume. Runs fine. Can this be the culprit? Changed the ignition switch. That did not solve the code. Any thoughts?

Did you find out what the culprit was? Got the same code also running fine

I had my Jeep scanned at a repair shop. They said it is the sending unit on the fuel pump. $600 to replace the pump as shown on this video. I did not repair it.

I have the EXACT same problem and year. Yes it is the fuel gauge floater. I bought a fuel pump for $70 online and am doing it myself!

Just use an angle grinder and cut an access hatch unless you like looking like an idiot.
