I just finished the story, looked online for some sort of synopsis or breakdown, and luckily found this short film. Pretty great to find a visual that very closely matched the feel and pace of what I imagined in my head. Nice work.

This is quite well done whereas 99% of these kinds of things are very poor ... So kudos! ... I had also just read it right now & was looking at commentary ... The Christ interpretation of the ending line certainly seems apposite -- but the way it hits me is more on the mundane level that she realizes un- or semi-consciously that demanding the petty cash is less important than possibly meeting an interesting fellow etc, in an unpredictable world in which it's desperately important to find something of value to hold onto or put in one's pocket as t'were

i enjoyed this until the very end, which I found incomplete and, therefore, unsatisfying. As you know, Ginnie asks Selena if she can come over later and mentions that she met her brother; clearly she found something attractive about him. A good effort but not quite fully realized.

    Leave Salinger's work alone!
