Even though the game is an absolute glitchfest (and let's be honest we love it for it even more) it's honestly impressive to see that the stuff in the distance is *real* and not some cheap trick with skyboxes and hidden loading screens.
The glitches are features at this point
you could also start at a low orbit base to make the journey less of a pain
I did that as an idea it worked not reading ur comment but it works
Honestly they just need to give us that creative freedom and let us build everything anywhere and if we mess up we mess up. That’s why there is always the freighter rooms reset button

I now have done a bit of testing with cornbread and have got a working way of placing any Item not just on the freighter but also in Space and probably on space stations that stay there after reloading.
Damn.. Like in the space station ? Imagine taking over your own personal space station.
@@ViggaTron yes, but it's very inconsistent. You need to reload a save point at a specific place before the base is visible. You can also have multiple bases stacked in the same place. Depending on which manual save point you load yiu get a different base

you should watch cornbreads video. If you want the things to be saved on the freighter when you warp away there is a special trick explained in his video

Also I will like to add something if you get anything to work remember if you warp away from that system or move your freighter it gets rid of it this is not permanent this is literally if you just want to jump off your ship in a mech after wasting 20 minutes.

Funny I was watching Cornbread 2100 videos last night. One of his most recent video shows another way to do it.
I can't get it to work, every time I get close enough to the frigate I pulls me back to the planet
I'm yet to try it, but I certainly will. If the base stays floating in space once you move the freighter, you can use mods to get the same effect. If it does work without mods, I'll come back and reply to this
Alright, it appears that unmodded, after a certain distance it turns off the build cam automatically, This glitch appears to have been fixed, unfortunately

I wish the developers let you have exocraft on the freighter for repairs. The exocraft materializer could be used for this functionally since it just sits there doing nothing right now.

I think the latest patch has (partially fixed this) I followed everything exactly, the exocraft summoning station did not persist but the exocraft itself stayed
That's because you didn't secure it in place propperly. Professor Cynical sadly didn't explain this step, but cornbread did in his video
What happens when you warp?
Everything warps with you other than the base computer

@@ProfessorCynical it doesn’t stay with you when you did it your way, you have to do a conversion process that I explained in my video

Or we could all go to the feedback page at hello games and politely once request that they make base material available on freighters and freighter parts available on bases. They might ignore such a request if a dozen people make it, not hundreds of people do. Again my fellow Travelers just one polite request per person; you can even copy and paste the second half of my first sentence. They do respond to the 'community' from what I can see.

I was wondering how you did all of your incredible builds. I used to love to build and add to my freighter base. I wish I could WALK on one of your freighters. I want to take time and look at everything. You blaze so fast in your videos
@@BP-cd8wx I always attach base save files for my freighters. You can check the video descriptions and they should be there.
Seems easy for the other I’m going up and up and up double clicking i never once fell back down 27 mins of doing it and it just feels like I wasn’t even moving even tho I was passing the white bubble lines
They need to just add this as a mechanic. I have a sweet exo-craft bay in my freighter and I want actual exo-craft in it so it looks like they are in for maintenance.
Considering the Minotaur massacres in the Anomaly when people were building the geobay on the freighters and glitching into the Anomaly, I doubt they'd be willing to reintroduce the idea anytime soon

Do the items you 'onboard' stay on your freighter? Can you move them into your freighter base? Can we assume as well with this trick that the base computer remains in that position when the frigate isn't there? And that we could potentially go even higher?
Okay I have a imperial class capital ship and I cannot figure out where to place these things because when I go back to my shift they disappear and I can't interact with them they don't even show up so maybe it doesn't work on all freighter types have you tested that? Also anyone who has an imperial and got it to work where did you place it
And when you move the freigther ?
I have a problem with this method as my base computer never turns green when I reach my frigate. If I toggle to the wire it stays red, too. “Outside of base limit” is what it says. I’ve watched Cornbread’s videos and reviewed the comments. Do you have a suggestion for this issue? I’m on PS5 if it makes a difference.
I built a base computer on a frigate and it worked! I built a mech on my freighter and when I came back to the game later, the mech was gone?! Base computer still there but saying can only build one per base...

It lets me place it on the freighter, but I can’t move it after that. Just says it’s out of range and then deletes it. Is there a fix for this? I’m on PS4. Don’t know if that’s it or not.

Ed: its been quite a while now, i am less concerned about the undeletable base, but I wish there was a way to clean it up, and I wish they added this as a legit feature on freighters
Yeah this just happened to me, the exocraft just floated in mid air and couldn't move them, no the undeletable base computer left there in space
Why don't you move the Base Computer on the Freighter first?
Why not put the base computer on your freighter instead if frigate? Save that second step on shifting the camera again?

yes, but they disappear after reload (unless you use a very complicated and unreliabe method to let them stay)

make sure to build a floor underneath your character before beginning the glitch. If the terrain unloads it'll snap you back, but the floor prevents you from falling and ending your climb

I think this and the top tier ship glich got patched. Every time i try to do it, it crashes and i got sent to the ps5 main menu 😂

The BC gets deleted on PS5. I went up 3 times. Thought I'd made a mistake first time. Second time to make sure, and on the third time I placed a nutrient processor first, which remained on the frigate. The BC is always gone though.

If you are not stable on level ground after a certain height, the rendering of the ground can knock you out of build camera. I had the same problem so I sat on a sofa on the middle of the tile and got up there.
