    Glad to see someone thinks about having a real shower in their Van, most people do not build one in and it is something a never understand because it is so important when you live in a Van full time. I live in a VW California Beach full time and it is "the thing" I miss most! Excellent job guys...

      i like to like videos to show support when i see they dont have a shower i just move on to the next one , living in a van aint no excuse to be dirty, you dont need a huge bed invest in a shower

    • @ryannorthrop158
      @ryannorthrop158 Před 4 lety +9

      @@unholyascension3421 it also depends on what they plan to do. Most people that are staying in one place or mostly urban areas use gyms for activity and showers(planet fitness is everywhere), people that are mostly basicly camping in parks and campgrounds already have access and those that will only need them when in middle of nowhere have external or solar showers. Only people that are actually traveling everywhere need them. Otherwise as nice as they are, they take valuable room and do require more upkeep and maintenance to avoid costly problems.

    Here's idea. When building a shower. Build as Sit down shower. Extra space saved on top could be used to put Water tank.

    • @NeillHolloman
      @NeillHolloman Před 5 lety +3

      Gonna add to my original comment. Good reason to use sitdown shower and put water tank on top is because you can add a hole in roof to fill water tank when it rains. Then always use environmentally safe soaps in shower then you can freely dump shower anywhere without harming environment.

      Spenser Latson ... Hi Spenser, ... a bit surprised, yes ... but not offended at all.
      I am quite curious as to why others haven’t explored box tube and welding.
      A 110 volt Flux core welder is available on Amazon for about $110 (even less at Harbor Fright) and does a good job on any kind of narrow gauge steel box tube.
      It is pretty easy to use because you won’t need fasteners.
      I like the fact that welded tube will add structural integrity. ... You can weld directly to the walls, floor and ceiling of the van. ... Also tube will help you maximize interior space. Cheers!

    Looking good. Take your time, don't rush it. Also use masking tape when using silicon. It makes it look way better. Subbed and liked :o)

    Just a thought that might work. Shower space spends most of the time empty. How about having a wardrobe unit in there - that slides sideways when you want to use the shower. I'm thinking of the dinette beside the shower so the wardrobe can slide over the seat. Maybe have the portaloo slide under the seat. Interested in builders thoughts.

    Not sure I'm following all that, but I had a thought... I realize that the shape of the wagon is a consideration, but I think I might have just used a preformed/all in one, fiberglass shower stall. As far as cost goes, I think they're pretty reasonable. Maybe less work to install too. Just a thought. Congrats on all the DIY work going well.

    Hi, Guy's great job & excellent video. Just wondering what shower mixer you used as the link you provided just bumps me to the Bunnings home page. Searched the Bunnings range but couldn't find it.

    Hey guys! Thanks for this great video!! We’re just building a shower and looking for the same sliding door you have. I was wondering if you could tell me the dimensions of the shower door canister! I’ve tried to find it on their website but I couldn’t find anything!!
    Thanks in advance

      Hey thanks for watching! Our Rollaway shower screen dimensions are 1800mm high and opens up to 925mm. Not sure where you're located but we got ours from an Australian site 👍🏼

    Some modifications can fascilitate more.1.The WC should be the floor one as fashioned in the east.2.Adjust it at the
    rear end will be awesome.3.One can clean himself with his own hands this will be more hygienic.4.This help to avoid the
    dirty drops and save the skin.5.By having a cover(like the deep freezers) over it will stop stink and
    one can take bath over it.6. Taking bath in sitting is more beneficient .If one believe in chastity and hate
    to expose him/herself should take bath in a sitting way.7.By sitting one use a bucket and mug and can easily
    wash more comfortably and less exhausting.8.If one has any abration or injuries can save from soap and shampoo etc.
    9.By this way one can save water etc.10.Four steel rods of five feet wrapped with a cloth can work as
    a Blind can use in outskirts in emergency.
    with best wishes.

    I would imagine the shower room to be the hardest part of the build, so should be easy going from here.
    It's looking really good and I like the little shelves you put in. Is that a swivel toilet?

    very nice built! Thumbs up! What did you use for the sidewalls of your shower cabin? Did you put tiles all the way up or is it a kind of plastic sheet with tile optics?
    Thaks a lot in advance for your answer! Stay safe!
