I have the same experience at most DD stores where they put too much cream it's almost like a latte or too much sugar and it's like candy. :(

I do really prefer it. Make it yourself and correctly. Other brands don't know what medium and lights roasts are. I am not a dark roast fan. Alegro if you got the money is the best.
Kayla do you prefer French Roast? How about TJ? Just asking so I can understand dark roast compared to medium or light roast. Is french roast a light roast?
Kayla prefers darker roasts generally (including French Roasts), but just mentioned today (on a review we recorded and have not released) that she may be leaning toward medium roasts now. So, French Roast may be considered one of the darkest roasts actually. The longer the coffee beans are roasted, the darker the roast. J.R. prefers medium roasts generally.
Hey guys. If you are still doing the RV thing, I recommend coming to Michigan this summer. Try Horrocks either in Lansing or Grand Rapids. They are a produce market and local roaster. Free coffee while you shop and have been from all over the globe, Mexico, Coasta Rica, Kenya, South America ect

I've had the same experience. The first time I bought a cup it was delicious the second time not so much. The ground coffee too I could swear it tasted better but it's flavourless. If a tree falls in the forest and you guys are there to hear it does it make a sound? Pop

I like DD original. Yes it's plain, but it is smooth and rich like it says on the bag. Maybe you could say it has a mild earthy taste and a full body. It's perfectly middle-of- the-road and that's why it has good reviews. I bought the whole bean and ground it. Your market should have DD creamer in the refrigerator.

It is quite pleasant...especially in natural areas.
I just bought a bag of DD coffee, the aroma pretty nice.. Tasted ok, not the best tasting, better than Folger, IMO.. I will get more as needed.. I love their donuts more tho..
Volume is fine on this one. Do you both drink with cream-milk?

There's a girl at work that always brings this. It's okay, a lot better than the free 'work' coffee, but after so long, I'd describe it as oppressively inoffensive. 😆

I used to like DD coffee, but a few months ago I noticed they have changed their blend. I stopped buying it. in fact I have found that many commercial brands have changed their blends in the last 3 years. it's too bad, because other people have also noticed it.

I recomend get yourself a French press the coffee makers paper filter takes the flavor away
French Press without pressing. Just spoon out the top grounds after 3.

Bought some of the original blend for work. I’ve gotta say it was relatively bitter compared to other blends. I have a friend who works at Starbucks so we try a variety of blends. I tried brewing it in the work coffee machine; bitter. Tried a French press; still bitter. Yet all the reviews I see give it a 5 star review. I must be doing something wrong.
Well, we obviously agree that this is not a good coffee in our opinion.
I had some the other day i think for the first time ever, i don’t know what brand it was, but it was the best chain coffee I’ve ever had. Not bitter or burnt at all. So much better than Starbucks.
What does beany mean?
To us, beany means that the coffee tastes like beans...like boiled peanuts really if you're familiar. We have looked at a coffee wheel to determine what some of the flavors are we are tasting.

I like bold coffees, so I agree, this taste like tea. Not a very good tea at that.
I bought a iced coffee black tonight...i swear i could read a newspaper thru this coffee flavored water...seems like it's always watered down...now worse than ever...for now on its "starbucks" ONLY ! ! !
DD Original Coffee is only OK. It's not awful but bland.
