    Great video! They did my 06 up with the Paxton 2200 few years back when it mostly stock. Had 84k on it, ran it for about a year, zero issues. Then brought back for T-56 transmission, twin disc clutch, One piece aluminum driveshaft, 3.83 gears, moser axles. And headers. Drove it 500 miles Ford Fest, ran 11’s. Drove back home. Following year moved 600 miles away to Tennessee, been driving it daily, again still zero issues. Hope that helps some make the decision to make the move to more power! Only thing left to do is a built motor lol.

      Save for a Coyote, 3V’s and 2V’s need to be built anywhere over 400whp where Coyotes can make 650 without sneezing, even on this channel a 165k mile Coyote still took it like a champ.

    • @isaiahgray9290
      @isaiahgray9290 Před 2 lety +1

      Clearly you’re not paying attention or haven’t researched well. 450 TORQUE is the max or safe limit for 3v’s before being built, not 400 WHP. You can run 500 hp and still be fine stock if you’re near or under 450 rw torque.

    • @BrenspeedEngineering
      @BrenspeedEngineering  Před 2 lety +2

      Almost everybody runs that stock trans with boost. Typically when someone goes for a built engine they almost always upgrade to a Magnum at the same time. I mean I have seen many do 600 rwhp with it but normally at some point they upgrade.

Do you think the Ford Racing throttle body is worth the price, still on stock t.b. And crap 91 in so west MO . We have all those parts. You just order them separate. It is called a front drive kit if you are looking to do chains and guides. If you want springs you would just with a comp cams standard set not the behives. Springs are not required on our Detroit Rocker cams. Thanks Brent. Is a supercharger practical for a daily driver 3v in winter where there are long periods of snow, and low temperatures?

    • @BrenspeedEngineering
      @BrenspeedEngineering  Před rokem +1

      Yes you just let the car warm up like you normally would. As far as a Paxon or Vortech... The supercharger oil will warm up just like the engine oil. Don't just start it in zero temps and take off which you shouldnt do anyways on a stock engine. Just put a little heat in it and good to go. Also because no boost a light throttle it will handle like normal in snow.

    • @BrenspeedEngineering
      @BrenspeedEngineering  Před 2 lety +2

      @@BrenspeedEngineering yea I was just wondering because I have a set of rods already. I have a complete rotating assembly for my 3v. But all I have is a set of rods for my 2v. • @midnight347
      @midnight347 Před 2 lety +1

      @@justa3v619 with better rods it would absolutely handle more for sure but I'm not sure how much more. The rods are are weak link the crank can handle 600 wheel if not more and I'm sure the pistons can do typically piston failures are due to detonation so just make sure you run good fuel and tune and supporting mods and I'm sure it could make a fairly safe 500-550 torque just an educated guess.

    • @BrenspeedEngineering
      @BrenspeedEngineering  Před měsícem +1

      If you are getting a paxton/vortech style we use the NA rockers with those blowers so you are good to go all motor or with the supercharger with those. They have better low end with that set up. If you go with Edelbrock the SC grind works a bit better but you are only talking a few HP over an NA rocker.

      Nothing else "needs" to be done or is required. Now do some things make cams better? Yes. From a power stand point opening up the induction helps so a large CAI like a JLT series 3 is great and a smart move vs. a stock air box.

    Hello Brent great video I just ordered a set of long tube pipes headers with a high-flow cat. In 2020 you install the Roush 560r package on my 2005 Mustang with an Alcoa radiator, a two-step and some other suspension mods. Before Doug sends out my long tube headers and exhaust I was wanting to possibly install your Detroit rocker cams for the Roush supercharger 560R package with the re tune. First question is do you lose a lot of low-end power when installing these camshafts or does your tune compensate and I will still retain my low-end power which I love right now on the car it is very Snappy throughout. My second question with me adding the long tube headers and high-flow cats as well as the camshafts will that put me right in the perfect number area as when you did my Dyno pull I was 483 horsepower and 438 of torque? And just a further input anyone thinking of using Brent speed he does an amazing job and we are super happy with the build so far.

    • @BrenspeedEngineering
      @BrenspeedEngineering  Před 2 lety +1

      Mike you are good to go with the cams and headers. The cams with that supercharger are great and you are not going to have some crazy low end loss. Actually your torque and HP will not drop near as fast as with the stock cams. You will be good on your torque area that you want to be in. The 560R, Headers, and cams are a great set up.
