Cyberpower 525SL Battery Replacement - Battery from Zbattery.com

Overview of replacing battery in this UPS. Difficulty is easy. Battery was purchased from Zbattery.com, in which they did provided good service and website was easy to use. The battery is BB Brand, which was originally in the UPS and lasted a very long time. Hopefully, the replacement will hold up as well, especially for the ~$20 it costs.

Thanks for the video. I have a model 685avr which physically resembles your unit. So, guess I'll give it a try to replace the battery rather than buying a whole new ups!

Gerry, good luck I'm sure you'll get it done. I have a 8-9 yo APC 1300, the OEM batteries died a few months after I replaced this battery. I ordered BB Batteries for it, it's been running like a champ since. I highly recommend BB Batteries, compared other "off brand" batteries these seem a notch higher quality for the same price. I bought a battery from Batteries Plus one time, it literally died after 1.5 years and ruined my UPS because it leaked battery acid all over, and I paid $70 for it compared to ~$20 range for these BB Batteries online. I just bought a used one of these and when I plugged it in the power on light "cycles" every 4 seconds, is it supposed to do that?

No, that doesn't sound normal. Sometimes if the battery is bad, they act funny and even one unit to the next have different symptoms. It could also be just the unit is bad.
