  • I was asked some days ago: "What gear to you wear and have? Please make a video!"
    Well, here it is.
I also have to mention, that there are soooo many different good other Brands out there, such as Klim, Revit, Rukka, Buse and so on, and that in this video is my own personal experience and opinion.
Basically, I have a riding suite by Stadler.
The Jacked that I have is the first generation Companero from Touratech.
I bought it in 2011 at a price of I think it was 1100 Euro!!!
Hefty!!! Yes - true, but I liked the combination of summer suite, rain and weather protection and that you can use the GoreTex jacket to take a walk on a stopover without carrying an extra jacket.
The trouser is from the Stadler EVO line and is similar to the first generation of Touratech Companero.
When I bought my bike in 2018, I just had a motorcycle jeans and as I wanted to do more long distance touring this was not enough for me.
During the winter month I found this good deal for the Stadler EVO trouser (450 Euro - instead of over 700 Euro) - I would say a good deal.
What I did not like is, whenever you wear the summer suite and you have to get into the GoreTex, BOOTS off!!!
I knew that the next generation has a long zipper but Stadler does not sell separate.
Last winter 19/20 I have explored, that Touratech has a big discount on the old collection - that was the Companero World.
So I ordered the outer shell for 240 Euro instead of almost 500 Euro!!!
Boot challenge solved, and who cares about the color difference.
Talking boot, I have the Daytona Trans Open GTX a very well made boot, super comfortable and durable.
Only downside is - let's say - crash protection.
As mentioned, I had a fall and got trapped under the bike with my foot.
So I looked for a more safer boot and purchased the Alpinestars Tucan GTX.
Different than the Daytona, but I am very happy with it so far.
Gloves I bought the Held Air-N-Dry 200 Euro - ok, but not for me.
Last summer I got the Touratech gloves and I am very happy with them.
I have an Scorpion EXO ADV helmet and even it's not a lightweight I am happy with it.
It has good value for money I would say.
Now what costs did I have……..
    1100 Euro Jacket (Summer 2011)
450 Euro Stadler Trouser vs 770 Euro (Winter 18/19)
    240 Euro #Touratech rain vs 500 Euro (Winter 19/20)
300 Euro Daytona Transopen GTX (Summer 2011)
    280 Euro #Alpinestars Toucan GTX (Summer 2020)
Touratech Gloves 260 Euro (Summer 2020)
    Held 180 Euro (Summer 2019)
If you break it down by years, I think the costs are bearable.

Thanks for you nice comment! About most of the gear shown you don't find real owner reviews online. Most are sponsored. Do you need more information regarding the gloves itself?
