Darren, ive just watched this video. If im honest i was one of those nameless people who expressed negative reservations about your free giveaway videos. After watching this video explaining the reasons and doing so very honestly, i have had to take stock of my hasty rush to judge.
I personally will certainly never express or air any negativity in future videos around the subject of 'giving away to give back' rather than it just being about selfishly taking from the channel like so, so many other CZcams content providers.
I apologise.

You’re great Darren and bring so much pleasure to your audience. The fact is we don’t pay for it and we’ve all got a choice. Trolling, being nasty/spiteful is unfortunately the really bad side of social media. I suspect being nasty to someone, makes some people feel better about themselves and their lives. People should think twice though, as they hopefully would in the real world. They don’t know the sensitivity of the receipiant, what that person might be going through, what their mental state might be at that time. In particular, I feel worried for youngsters who might receive horrible comments and not be able to shrug them off. As you say, it’s nice to be nice!

Some people just need to make negative comments just because. Their life isn't going well currently and just want to spread this toxic environment thinking everyone should feel the same. I don't believe in that and having what you are doing here to have some nice things happen for people is a good thing. If one of these people won this prize would have won something just putting their name into the draw. It would actually make them feel that much better in the end. Can’t win for loosing these days! I left a lovely comment not so long ago, got slated, hammered, rude, swore at because of the team I support! Stopped commenting on any videos for months. Hi Darren, you just have to ignor any moaners. What's not to like about a nice free give-a-way. As you say, it's a nice thing to do for the subscribers passing on some goodness. I really don't think it detracts from the main theme of your channel one iota. If some people can't cope with free gifts, they should jog on to less entertaining channels, like "Watch my Paint Dry".
I don’t really understand how people can moan about you doing giveaways - you enter or you don’t enter. Really quite simple.
Think we’re at a stage now where people just look for something to moan about and if they can’t find anything they’ll just choose something.
