Will you be going soft tubing or hardline in your gaming PC?
@@wolfy704 You monster :D
I’m going soft tubing for my upcoming z490 formula build
Soft for my first! But need 4 x 45• angled fittings
Gotta get that soft tubbing for my lga 775
Soft.
As I begin to finalize the (soft) tube runs for my first custom loop, I've probably seen just about every tutorial, and read just about every relevant guide on the web. This is by far the most exhaustive, and useful fittings & tubing guide available, and by some margin.
If you are thinking of upgrading this content or next video, it would be nice if you could:
1. Show use every type of connectors available. Size, angles, materials
2. What are the functions of each connectors
3. Close up of each connectors and actually connecting them with tubes
4. What connectors go into which parts (rads, GPU, CPU, flowmeter, etc) and how you connect them
I hope I'm not asking too much but for beginners, this is actually what matters most, rather than how to cut tubes (no offense)
I spent my entire new GPU budget on a full custom loop for my existing 1080ti and never had so much fun rebuilding a computer. I did it mostly with Barrow fittings from aliexpress and didn't have a single leak or problem. I did use EK for the CPU blocks and Rads but if I did it again I would have gone fully Barrow tbh.
Nice, should chuck some pics on our Discord or on Twitter.
Best explanation I saw on YT
I would love to see a step by step video on how to water cool a system. Also this video was very good and informative.
Truly excellent tutorial.
Brilliant explanations for beginners, would love to see the second part, solid tubing... And don't forget, lub is good ! :))
Amazing! I was just looking for this video! :D It will take some time, but I want to make my very first water cooling PC in the Antec Striker case. :)
Great helpful video - very informative to me who watercooled my OC about 20years ago with Danger Den bits.. and now want to do a new build and i am completly out of touch with whats available etc so liked and subscribed
Great video!
Brilliant Thank you, great insight mate. Would love to see the process of how you bend solid tubing. 💪
Coming soon! Promise!
In the background you can see 50% of UK's stock of RTX cards
Man flexing on us
Great video. keep up the good work
Thanks, will do!
SPOOKY - you posted this and i'm currently researching my first custom loop in a 5000D AF for my 3080 + 5800x. Will be going soft tubing.
Decided what brand you're going with?
Bro this video was amazingly well put. PC plumbing is hella confusing to starters, and you made me a bit more confident about risking shorting my expensive components for looks. Thanks!
Water cooling isn’t just for looks lol
@@joelscb ofc it isn't
@@ByGraceThroughFaith777 this is what you typed: "... and you made me a bit more confident about risking shorting my expensive components for looks."
@@joelscb You can simply buy an AIO and it's still watercooling. People these days, sheesh... what's the point of wanting to argue about everything?
I’m 2 years late but thank you for this video
Also I have a question?
Will an alphacool xflow nexXxos (40mm 7 fan) radiator be able to cool my rtx 3090 fe?
If so what temps should I expect?
awesome tubing is a must also what types of res you can get also i know the d5pump is the best but are there any others
Will do some more videos based around that!
Hello, thank you for your tips, they're very useful! I have a question, what is the recommended pressure to test loop waterthightness?
Pretty much any pressure will do... The radiator on my build was tested at 0.8 atmosphere (.8 bar/11psi), so I don't really want to go above that, but since air is much thinner than water, pretty much any meaningful amount of overpressure will do. Just has to be enough so you can notice it drop! ;-)
Hello I like your Water cooling Fitting Guide but could you tell me where to obtain the Bulkhead Fittings. Thanks
Can you use Silicone OIl on the o-rings to help with sliding the hardline tubes into the fitting? O-rings always need oil, but what I am seeing is the fittings are really not locked and can be pulled off.
Can this pc radiators be used for refrigerant cooling ?
What brand are those fittings?
Plastic or metal?
Can I find small diameters to mod a cooler master liquid cooler?
what is the name of the saw u have there? thanks
As a glass blower that makes flouroecent signs im ok with the glass but the others i strugle with
Excellent video! 👌👍 Speaking for myself, fittings are a drop in the bucket in price compared to everything else, especially blocks. There's so much fad with these and different trends it's impossible to keep up. However, one topic that hardly anybody ever talks about is the coolant and the horrific effect it can have on your blocks and fittings. I am not a fan not all of DIY coolant with distilled water and biocides. Pre-made non-concentrated coolant is the way to go, argue with me if you will I'm not changing.
My main question regarding custom loops is materials, mainly using full copper radiators with brass/aluminium fittings. I know that the liquids will be treated to deal with galvanic corrosion but how serious should you be about not mixing metals?
Almost all fittings are made of brass and not aluminium.
Brass, copper, and nickel plated copper are no problem.
T.h.a.n.k y.o.u! Really! Most videos suggest that People know about these things. Thanks for explaining it all
For main companies, don't forget Alphacool and Heatkiller (Watercool).
I decided this year to give a custom loop a try, but I've never done watercooling before, so I don't know if I should jump into the deep-end and do hardline, or play it safe with soft.
I'd say that it depeneds on how DIY competant you are. If you are good at DIY then I'd say with some patience you'd be fine.
I'd say: If you're into aesthetics, go hard, if not, screw it... Just extra hassle...
Love to do a full water-cooled system. But never seem to get a GPU that's got a compatible Water-block available. :D
Yeah it's tricky right now to be honest.
Do they not make push fittings like you can get in plumbing or air ride? Would make things much easier
You can still get them but they aren't that widespread any more.
@@eTeknix that’s a shame, I’ve used them before in air ride installs and they’re so easy to use and would definitely save a lot of time and effort
where did you insert this m.2 to work that fast 😂
LETS DO THIS
Thinking I may get that on a t-shirt :D
saliva in a water cooling loop lmao
The barrow fittings are the worst i have used after doing 3 systems
CZcams sent this video to the shadow realm, feelsbadman
Edit: Nvm the algorithm hates you and you deserve more views

i know im dumb. but now im less dumb. THANk YOU
Remember to screw with confidence.
Always!
Hard line.. but I don't have a clue what I'm doing.. should be a larf
I'll be doing some more videos based around watercooling soon that should help.
Thanks man! Note at 5:10, saliva helps in dissolving food in your mouth, does it also have some PH/acidic property for that matter? What about using water+ a slight amount of dish or hand soap (as long as there's no mineral component in it)? Btw, these sexual jokes and phantasmagoric takes about what women prefer are getting old...
"Lube is good"
That's what she daid😂👀
Lol my dumba** thought 13/10 means 33mm tube 🙃🔫
2🤣🤣🤣🤣
Spitters are quitters
the video needs better and closer visual examples of how to connect the tools together.
