    Custom Water Cooling doesn't have to be scary, but it is intimidating just like anything else in life that you're unfamiliar with. Here we go through some of the basics needed to begin your journey into Custom Water Cooling and building the PC of your dreams. Research, understanding, and then planning are the proper steps to building a water-cooled PC.

      It's a never-ending journey. As soon as I sit back and think I've finally got my build "completed", I'm already thinking ahead to what I could try for the next revision.
      Right now I'm waiting to try and mount my Protium reservoir using two EK male-male extenders screwed into pass-through fittings. I saw Singularity Computers do something similar using Bitspower D-Plug fittings on one of their client build vlogs. Not sure how much better the fittings alone can support the weight of a 150mm D5 tube reservoir + coolant, compared to a conventional 120mm or 140mm bracket mount but we'll see soon enough.

    great tips!! l been researching heavily past 5 months for my 4090 fe custom loop as soon as it comes in stock. u should do another video about things to add to the loop to make life easier. flow indicator scaler, drain valve, quick disconnect kits, temperature display, add magnetic led strips to add to the theme ect. maybe talk about best water cooling brands and best liquids to use and how to sync a-rgb/rgb lights with different devices . im personally gonna use:
    -corsair satin tubing with ek fittings.
    -corsair or ek radiators
    -ek mystic fog cooling
    -ek water block for gpu and mono block
    -ek d5 pump reservoir combo or simple flat reservoir/pump combo.

    I was wondering if you could do a video of some crazy rigid tubing water connections combos, just not the usual ones 90 deg elbow here and there. like EKWB has some crazy looking 45's and rotaries. just a hint to do something unusual. working on one right now. 45 deg angle with two 45 deg elbows . I rather work with fittings then bending tubes, I think that looks tacky.

Excellent video, thanks 👍🏻🔥
    And, oh yeah, I definitely want to try my hand at an open-loop. Curious, I am a little-bit past half-way through the video, have you ever tried Optimus fittings. They claim that theres has the most threads; therefore, they are the least-likely, to fall out. Did you get that sense from them, if you tried them

    • @DaPoets
      @DaPoets  Před rokem +1

      Yes Optimus is one of my partner companies and they have sent me pumps, blocks and fittings. All good quality, just very slow production times due to their smaller size compared to EK. Their fittings are good but having more threads doesn't mean much when it comes to issues.

    21:27 I don't necessarily think its the Learning Curve of the parts what scares people.
    I think its the fact that from a very youngh age were taught to keep Electronics as far away possible from Water.
    So its just Counter-Intuitive to consider bringing the element of Water inside your computer case so close to all that expensive hardware. And that is where the next fear of leaking comes in.
    That is why people usually first start with an AIO cpu watercooler, and ones they experienced that is save. they might consider custom waterlooping on their next build.

    Idiot here; Do you take any special cares when choosing your fittings?
