Don’t need to remove nuts just cover bolt like you did is fine. Had to do mine in the bush with the tools under the seat. Was a crap load of fun. Great vid be well.

I just recently purchased a 2008 AC 650 H1 TRV a little over a month ago. I have been watching some of your videos and they have helped me understand somethings I've questioned. This is my first IRS quad. Thanks for the informative videos.

I don't know if it makes a difference but I have a 2016 500 cat and I did not need to remove either the primary or secondary nut. I just used a screw from the cover and expanded the secondary. That gave plenty of room to put the new belt on. Just to save someone from extra work... good videos BTW

Looks like a lot of extra work here certinally not a trail side repair. You can replace the belt without removing the engine . Just remove cover and spread the clutch with a cover bolt , remove and replace the belt, replace cover and dive into the next mud hole 😄

That is the hard way ... no need to take them off, spread it with them on, that is why it is made that way

Note to former self tighten the primary drive clutch very well and follow the video exactly and do use enough loctite. Ps mine spun of due to the colt unscrewing itself in speed I did drive for about 3 Km/h with it loose and it worked somehow so I got home but I stripped the nut and maybe the axle from the engine

Good Video. Gave it a try to replace my belt on a 2010 Arctic Cat TRV. I tried to put the bolt into the secondary to separate. The secondary did not open and snapped. Now what? suggestions please

Perfect!! I needed this vid! Your secondary looked a little different than mine! Mine doesn’t have that metal part that is over the spring just the nut and the spring retainer.
Mine broke and I need a replacement and the ones I’ve found on eBay look like yours! I guess they are compatible?? Do you know?

i don't have a measurement you can go by but that belt is my original from that motor about 10 years old. You can usually tell it's time to change a belt when it starts to slip or it's getting cracked up
