Finally, a professor giving young people reasonable arguments to consider. He's not telling them what to think (which would be WRONG). He's not getting nasty with them for not agreeing with a particular point of view (which would be WRONG). He is treating them like the adults that they are and opens his class up to discussing multiple points of view - and allows them to make up their own minds.. This means at the end of this class there will be many students with multiple points of view - instead of a class full of students that all think the same. THIS IS REAL TEACHING.

There is a difference in racism, prejudice and ignorance. They do go hand in hand in a lot of cases, but these 3 situations should not be compared.

@@PatriciaFigyou can be grid accountable. He’s teaching people there is nuance to life. It seems he worries about this new generation that is taught this means that every time. People can’t put themselves in other peoples shoes or understand mistakes happen, bad moments happen. These moments he’s described are minor most likely mistakes. You shouldn’t hand their entire lives for it.

It’s like the Internet shows you their mistake 2347 times with each critical comment. That stirs emotions and making decisions with that in mind is pretty dangerous leading to a dangerous outcome. History shows that clearly

Papa John's guy didn't get in trouble because of the N-word. He stepped in it because he weighed in on Kaepernick's kneeling during games. No one would've known about the N-word on a conference call unless except he was outted internally. The people didn't ask of Papa John's CEO to be fired. His BofD did. They could've shut up and rode out the storm.

But thats the thing, the same could have happened here. She, too, could have kept quiet. Could have just let it be. Understood that certain context can make what is said hit different.
There is an outrage culture that DEMANDS action. That's why she initially did it. Same for the BofD. You NEED to take action. You NEED to be offended. You NEED to be outraged and let it control your life until its waltzed flat.
      That's the problem here.

I enjoy listening to this professor's class but the comparison here is not appropriate. There is a difference between ignorance and racism. The security guard was likely ignorant. However the case of racial epitaphs being tossed around by a student and the victim being fired is a blatant case of privilege, not cultural ignorance

Again - again - again / all of these people are victims of white supremacy/ racism.
All non white people especially black people are mistreated, abused, and subjugated due to white supremacy/ racism.
It will never stop as long as whites are in charge. This is a system built for 400 years to mistreat non white people 24/7.
Please vote people and use your votes to acquire benefits like other races do. Your vote is suppose to help your community with more resources and opportunities.
The jails weren’t built for them, they were built for us.
Please vote people to get a more diverse group of people to protect everyone’s civil rights.
Imagine having to fight for your civil rights. You are suppose to have civil rights as a human being. Just racist and not crazy ... we have to stop calling things crazy .. because crazy is an adjective / they are racist.
