There are a million trainers with different styles and techniques. There’s a wide audience that appreciate combination and more unique exercises, rather than the bland basic moves. Allowing more engagement of the smaller muscles that sculpt. Any exercise can be so called dangerous. Love Barre Intensity. Thank you for providing us with diversity. If this type of exercise isn’t for you, do something else. (By the way-The shoulder bridge and chest lift combo has been done by numerous accredited trainers.).

Usually appreciate your workouts but some of the moves (e.g. shoulder bridge and chest lift combo) make a) no sense and b) are highly dangerous for the back esp. cervical spine. Absoutely do not recommend this. My tip as a trainer sometimes less is more, strange combination moves that add benefits leave them out.

Thank you for watching our videos. The intent of the bridge/crunch combo is glute activation, pelvic stabilization, low deep core control while incorporating small flexion in the thoracic spine to work the rectus abominis. We always do our best to think of the why behind every one of our exercises. To address your point b - yes, if someone moves by pulling from the neck vs the rib cage/thoracic spine then they can put strain on their cervical spine.

I’m a trainer and my Barre trainer is a certified Barre Intensity trainer. Once you start with Barre Intensity, other Barre classes just don’t cut it! I love the combinations and unique exercises. Remember, any exercise can be “dangerous”. I, and millions of others LOVE more and more!
