    I had planned on doing a video on the Partition of India since a long time but somehow kept postponing the video.
    These last couple of months I read quite a number of books about partition and figured out that the video cannot be delayed anymore. And so, here it is!
    The list is definitely not exhaustive and if you have any recommendations for me, please feel free to mention them in the comments section below.

      All writers wrote after partition, while Mr. Ambedkar wrote his book while it was happening, what process was to be taken.
      Sorry madam your list unworthy. Fail to represent the actual reason of bengal partition of 1906. A big zero.

    That was quite a list, would definitely go on a journey to trace the roots of partition from the various perspectives.
    Also, I had this suggestion if you could make videos on best books to buy from Kindle {like the ones which would be great deals} and the books by Novoneel Chakraborty.

    Out of four books i have read, train to Pakistan and gazing at the neighbours. Both are excellent. Bishwanath Ghosh is a underrated writer, i would recommend Chai Chai.

    You missed to mention the love story in train to pakistan. Freedom at midnight is a good book by Dominique Lapiere& Larry Collins

    'Two' by Gulzar is a good book.
    A short story 'Toba Tek singh' is also a good story on partition.

    When you talk about partition of India .
    all books you mentioned were written after partition with very emotional point of view.
    my recommendation is "Pakistan or the Partition of India" BY- Dr. BHIMRAO AMBEDKAR.
    written before partition, no emotions , based on facts and harsh realities.

    But you should have included the book
    "Pakistan or Partition of India by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar"
    This gives a complete background of things happened politically that led to Pakistan.
    And what are the alternatives if not Pakistan.
    It is the best book on this topic.
    It is not about the things while Partition, there are many books that you have mentioned, it about how things led to Partition.

    If you want to read some rational book, then read - Pakistan or the Partition of India by BR Ambedkar. He will toss some gut wrenching questions to you with a perspective of Indian history.
