THE FINAL WORD: Sigma has been winning over the hearts and minds of photographers everywhere - both professionals and serious enthusiasts - since their global vision initiative revamp going on just about 4 years now. With outstanding build quality, and really, really solid optics and all at value prices Sigma has lead a resurgence that has made all 3rd party lens manufactures up their game too - as both Tamron and Tokina have started coming out with better built, optically excellent, and value priced lenses too, which is great news for us the consumer of these excellent products. But back to the 50-100, even though it's well built and an interesting concept, your money might be better spent on either a series of f/1.8 primes in this same range or an f/2.8 zoom that covers a similar focal range...
