Marvel Studios' Thor: Love and Thunder arrives only in theaters July 8.
The film finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced - a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who - to Thor’s surprise - inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late. Directed by Waititi (“Thor: Ragnarok,” “Jojo Rabbit”) and produced by Kevin Feige and Brad Winderbaum, “Thor: Love and Thunder” opens in theaters July 8, 2022.

Can I just say this is a perfect example of how you do a teaser trailer. You’re not getting a synopsis of the entire film. But it perfectly gives you setting, and a vibe. That’s a trailer

Yea, getting real tired of seeing the whole movie in a 3 min trailer. But they'll do it with this one too. After all, this is just the teaser to the trailer. Because those are things now
Remember the original Matrix trailer? They showed you what they wanted to show you; inclusion of spoilers isn't just a faux pa, it's a statement, IMO.
Many productions do an interesting thing where they have a few teasers, and each teaser reveals a main theme, often from the meat of the same clips. They give you a wider net, and tease out more depth from a very shallow time frame.
Generation of speculation is one thing, hitting curious prospective audience members where they feel it is a real snap shot to take. In this case you don't get where in lay the conflict, but if you know Thor, you already know where it lay.

The movie might have sucked, but I remember going through a dark episode in my life when this trailer dropped. Watching Thor working out and trying to get his life together inspired me to improve myself. I've been going to the gym 9 months now thanks to this.

One of the greatest teasers of all time, sadly the movie didn't live up to it.
The music brings such sweet melancholy and nostalgia to this film. Yet I feel the film will be much darker. Can’t wait to see it.
Out of all the characters , I hope Thor is the one character from phase one that moves forward into the future franchises. I want Thor to stick around until the Secret Wars saga. He deserves to be the living mentor figure for future Avengers.

Thor's character development from an egostical God who thought he could defeat anyone to having human qualities is amazing. Can't wait for this movie.
I don't think it was a particularly well done character arc, He had a good beginning, but then they made him boring and two dimensional in the avengers, and he stayed that way until Ragnarok. He did have good character growth after that, but for half his time in the MCU he didn't evolve.

@Michael Aronson Yes they all are. Loki from the tv show is a different version so it technically doesn’t count, and the only OG Avengers who are still alive is Bruce, Clint who he barely knows and Steve who’s retired now.

Thor is such a strong character. Not just physical but also emotional as well. He has endured so much and yet he still find ways to be happy and optimistic. He keeps pulling himself back up.

I think the guy that recently played Jack Reacher, I forget his name, anyway I think he could have pulled it off, the physical look anyways. I think it would have been much harder for him to show the depth and range in the character as Hemsworth has shown which is why Hemsworth was a perfect choice. I'm sure they're many huge, blonde Joe Blows out there that physically fit the Thor character, but can they act convincingly as Thor. That's the million-dollar question!

Seems to be how every new marvel film is going nowadays. The trailer for Dr Strange 2 made it look so amazing, and it turned out to be classic Disney = aimed at little kids and trying way too hard to be witty. The meaning of “marvel” has evolved into try-hard CGI mixed with an unnecessary amount of childish humour and banter. Idk why the direction changed but it’s not looking good

When the bgm started roaring, it took me to tears
I look up to Thor so much because he’s been through so much and has lost so much, and he’s always working on himself. He is def one of my absolute faves❤️ This trailer gets me everytime and makes me cry like a baby, especially when Starlord says “just remember what I told you, whenever you feel lost, just look into the eyes of the people that you love” and then Thor makes me laugh with his face😭😂
