I just realized, after watching this trailer for the 4th time, that Jane says “what’s it been 3-4 years?” then Thor says “8 years 7 months 6 days!” That’s because Jane was “blipped” away for 5 years. So to her it was that amount of time, but for Thor it was 5 years longer. Pretty cool detail.

Gorr was easily the best part of the film. Jane is next cause she at least had something of an arc (although they kinda ruined it with the reveal Thor told his hammer to keep her safe instead of her just being worthy.)

I love the part when Thor swoops down on Stormbreaker, screaming "It's Thorrin' time!" and then proceeds to Odinson all over the bad guys. Truly one of the most scenes ever.

I was so impressed by the performance of Christian Bale. Like wow man, he was so good. It's a shame they made the film a little too goofy. Could have been a bit serious.

It was a little too goofy at times but the serious, moving moments and the kickass action won me over in the long run.
I really enjoyed the movie, but it was too goofy at times. Also they ruined Zeus. I feel like Gorr was done great, maybe a little rushed. Most of the complaints about this film I dont really agree with besides mine above.

Thank you, Marvel! I finally saw this movie tonight, and I cried TWICE. I have metastatic (stage 4) breast cancer too. One of the hardest moments in my life was telling my husband. I had to pause the movie after that moment when Jane told Thor, and my husband and I held each other while I pulled it together. It was such a relief that Taika Waititi allowed for a good heap of levity in this movie, or I'd have been a sobbing puddle of feels by the end.
If anyone ever reads this, please encourage regular breast exams!! They woulda CURED my cancer had it been caught sooner. I waited until, like Doctor Jane Foster, I was tired all the time. It didn't hurt and I wasn't sick, just made me super sleepy. Don't wait for symptoms; please do regular exams.
My heart goes out to you. May you recover soon , God willing 💞

Every scene with Thor is full of color while every scene with Gorr is black and white. It's a perfect contrast between the colorful life of the Gods versus Gorr's more brutal life and background.

His wife was hit want an earthquake and his child died of starvation. Parents were lost at a young age too. He then told his ppl that the gods didn’t care or that there was no gods. His people then exiled him and that’s when he came across the aftermath of 2 gods fighting, both were basically dead. One of which had the all black and that’s wut gave him his powers.

I love the little touch that implies that Jane Foster was snapped for 5 years. Thor could not have her support during the hard times that followed his failure in Infinity War, which explains partly how he downspiraled into his "Dad Bod". he even counted the days they didn't see each other.

Many people didn’t like Gorr’s design, but the co-creator of the character explicitly said that the design doesn’t matter. What matters is the backstory and the portrayal, which he trusts with Christian Bale’s talent.

In a visual medium it does matter.
They may have changed the face design to make it so he doesn’t look as much like Ebony Maw or Voldemort
But marvel gives more focus on face value than CGI

They really found Thor's stride with Ragnorak, and I'm excited to see they're keeping that same energy. The God of Thunder comic book arc is one of the all-time great Thor runs - and this story with Gor is a really compelling one that can show Gor as a villain you feel sympathetic towards - despite the fact that he goes on a terrifying murderous rampage across the literal universe. I'm very excited for this one!

Taika Waititi, who directed Ragnarok, and this one, has done absolutely wonders for the character and his movies. The first 2 Thor movies were some of the worst the MCU had to offer. Ragnarok, on the other hand, is one of my favorites. I have very little interest in the MCU anymore, I just stopped watching anything Marvel related after Endgame, other than No Way Home because, you know, Toby Maguire. However, I will probably watch this one just because of Taika Waititi is directing it. I've yet to watch a movie he directed that I didn't love.

Taika is nailing the "heightened expanded reality" feel of the gods and their realms. It's exactly how it should feel. That golden eternal feeling when you're in the best mood as a kid or very high and in a great place on psychedelics. It's like a comfortable, grounded bliss. That's like an average Tuesday to the gods.

I watched the movie and i can honestly say, that the acting and charisma were on another level. Yes, the two goats were really good, hands down. Everybody else was meh and i almost died of second hand cringe. Thank you goats for saving me.
