    For me audio experience in a car is one of the most important things and unfortunately almost nobody covers that aspect in reviews. Many thanks!

    Thank you so much for taking time to review this. One of best car audio system review I have seen. I appreciate the effort to make it as realistic as possible with music selections and higher quality microphone.

      @@DailyMotor How does this JBL compare to the Bose in the Enclave, or the Mark Levinson in the new NX350?

    Toyota really does some of the best sound systems, especially outside of the luxury brands. JBL has stepped their game up in recent years. Just wish the infotainment systems were more user friendly.

    Slightly off topic, but I'd like a playlist of the music you used for the demonstration. I like classical, jazz and rock, but none of those tracks were familiar to me. Thanks, and thanks for the review.

    There’s no way this thing is putting out 1200 watts.
    Mine sounds like maybe 200…it sucks imo

    This was very informative and helpful. The only problem is no matter how great the audio quality is, it's impossible to listen to it on a PC, phone, or any other device and duplicate it. It would be helpful to provide more information on the settings. Thanks!

    This is a really good review, I felt that it was one of the best car audio system reviews on CZcams - simulating as much of a real experience as possible. I am considering purchasing a new Highlander in the Platinum trim and the audio system can be a deal maker or breaker for me. I had a Camry XSE a few years back with the JBL GreenEdge system and it was AWFUL! The system was so incredibly front-staged even with everything balanced (didn't give you that 360 degree surround experience with music coming from all directions) and it didn't sound very loud even with the volume cranked up to maximum...making road-trips with extensive highway and interstate driving unbearable. In your opinion, did you experience any of that in the Highlander? Was the sound direction more front-seat/dashboard oriented? Did you feel that the volume was lacking even when cranked up?

      I have the 2020 highlander limited and that is exactly how I feel the radio is…not great!
      It basically sounds like how a stock radio should sound not a premium radio

    Thanks for making this unique and helpful review! Do you have a review of a non upgraded JBL sound system? I'm debating between the XLE and Limited trim, with the audio system being one of the top reasons I do want the limited.

    Great review. I mostly just use CarPlay 90% of the time. In that case, how’s the usability w just CarPlay? We have a bmw and it’s great when wireless CarPlay actually works. But 20% of the time it just doesn’t connect and you have to go they many menus to get to CarPlay or reset it. Uconnect in my Pacifica is basic, but CarPlay works 100% of the time. It’s just so simple and easy to use. I much prefer my uconnect over idrive.

    • @DailyMotor
      @DailyMotor  Před 4 lety

      Thanks! That's funny you mention that, because we just had a 235i Gran Coupe, and we were getting frustrated getting CarPlay to connect. Whole process took about 10 minutes. CarPlay in the Highlander definitely helps, and it's a good point that many owners will use CarPlay or Android Auto regularly with most new cars. But I also know many people who don't like having to plug their phone in every time they get in the car.

    In previous limited edition models the JBL subwoofer speaker is mounted on the tailgate causing extreme bass vibration, is this still an issue?

    Beats Mark Levinson in the Lexus CUV, HK all, And Bose all. Great clean deep bass. Not surprised, JBL modern systems kick butt, but not in a bombastic non clean way. JBL PAs are awesome. I don’t don’t work for them.
