IRON Series 30 Min Upper Body Workout - Antagonist Sets | 27

- Essentially 90 seconds before you hit the back again, and likewise with the chest however due to it being antagonist training and superset format, it’s going to challenge your entire body in ways of tension but also stability and control.
Following day 26 leg day, for me this was the most demanding of the upper body days within Iron!
Simple movements throughout. The back and chest supersetted together so opposing muscle groups working within the superset but still demanding a lot for the duration.
The timer will be on for 60 seconds per exercise within each superset, so essentially each superset is 120 seconds in duration!
The dumbbells I am using for your reference are:

I expected it to be a harder week now that we are almost at the end of the series. Definitely repeating this after it ends! This series has made me lift heavier than I can imagine. More progressive workouts please plus nutrition tips! 💖💖💖

I think one of the really lovely things about thus community is that we all respect Caroline, of course, but also that we all respect each other too! By the time I got to those burnout push ups I thought I couldn’t do more...but actually I could and I managed 23 reps then the push ups add on too! I love this Iron Series. At the end of the 1st day I actually had tears. I was immensely proud of myself fro finishing. Now after day 27, I've never felt so good and never looked so good. This was quite hard!😂 My grip let me down again a bit today, but I'm fairly happy with my effort - compounds with 12.5kg as far as possible and adjusting as needed.
I was, however, surprised by how much stronger my shoulders are in a normal shoulder press position than in hammer - I guess that just goes to show which movements my body is more familiar with, and its just another area to be mindful of.

That add on really finished me off! I couldn't hold a pushup for the last 5 seconds, but I can definitely feel small improvements in my tricep and diamond pushup form so thank you!

PS...I actually managed 23 push ups in the finisher....I was very pleased! Then the add on too! All just great! I loved it!
Well I'm really sad bout yesterday 😕 the workout is amazing don't get me wrong.... my weights are just not heavy enough even tho I did all very slow still didn't got those jelly legs 😫

This series is my absolute favorite and I've done them all. I love the no fuss movements straight forward lifts my favorite. I love 30min work too. Allows me time to do a little cardio n stretch. The best Caroline 💗💗

I started one week late but figured I should post here, hoping that Caroline may see this post. I am absolutely in love with this workout series. It is the first time I actually enjoy working out because this seems to be 100% the workout style that I like. Every single workout is really tough but managable and leaves me feeling so proud. I love your reference weights, I always choose half of the weight and that ist perfect haha. I am getting married this weekend and since last week (when I was doing week four) I feel like I actually see some physical change. My number one priority is honestly feeling better and stronger by working out and it always lifts my mood. But I am honest, I am not mad about some definition popping up haha. I cannot thank you enough Caroline for all the effort, time and work that you put into this series (and even the pure quality of the videos with all the helpful features is stunning). We are all so lucky that you chose to share all these amazing workouts. If I could only wish one thing: That there will be more iron series following. Thank you Caroline! ❤️

This one flew by so fast! Those frontal raises were surprisingly hard. I was so proud of myself that I lifted the same weights as Caroline for about 10% of the workout. I would come back to this one again, I could even do a reasonable amount of the push ups. Thanks Caroline!

Today I bought a kit to have 2 dumbells which can go up to 10kg each ! So far ive been training with only 2kg dumbells because i didnt have enough money to buy more so I'm happy I got to upgrade, even tho im almost done with this program! Now I hope I will do well for this workout with brand new material !

Hi Sharon...wasn’t thus a tough one...but fun too! I really enjoyed it! Yes...you are so right about the light weights section. My lightest weights are 6 kg...which made this part hard! But then my heaviest weights are 12.5 kg! I don’t know how Caroline can do renegade rows with 20 kg!! Hope you have a very happy day too! Matthew

I've loved this series, I hope you do Iron Series 2. I've managed to move up in weights, and I'm pretty proud of the fact that I've been able to do every one of these days - not gonna lie, sometimes I need to modify the exercises a bit, but then I'm 58, so I blame the calendar :)

Wow I’m expecting this one to be very demanding! Love being challenged with every Caroline session! It never gets easier, but I’m much stronger than the first day I started training with CG. So glad that I found her and didn’t get intimidated away. Just remember, it’s “you vs you!” “Let’s go!”

Favorite upper body of CG! This was very challenging but I pushed and pulled the weight the best I could and I feel so strong now! Great workout! This series has definitely made me stronger that’s for sure!

That was intense. In my head during the workout I was thinking: this isn’t “antagonist” training, this is AGONY training! But I made it through and feel great, I used 37 lb for renegade rows (I just didn’t have the strength for 44 lb like Caroline!), and used 39 lb for pullovers and diamond press. Everything else was 22 lb & 9 lb. I was looking forward to dropping to the 9 lb near the end but that was tough too! This series has really pushed me hard, I love it! Let’s see if I can handle 5 minutes of push-ups next in the add-on!
No idea why but, after 4 years of online training, I feel this little workout is one of the best upper body I’ve ever done. LOVED IT! Thanks Caroline!!

Done ✔️. It was Tough but loved the challenge. Toughest were the Renegades and Pullover supersets. Superb Finisher. Was surprised I didn't pause during the pushups. Great Upperbody Sesh!

Really loved today's workout!!! I didn't go super heavy in order to focus more on the slow pace and it really worked😃 The burn was real and it was intense😁 I used 10kgs as the heavy and 6kgs as the light and 20 kg for the landmine rows. For the push up burnout, which I was craving I smashed 25 push ups💪 See you all tomorrow for the glutes!!!

This is very hard and challenging session today as we are coming towards the end of the series everything is getting much more intense even those lateral and frontal raise with 4 kgs are like doing them with 10kgs seriously caroline knows how to keep us on all our toes 😀 and make us do our best 👌

I love every workout. I am proud to train with you every day. This series has been of great benefit to me, my legs and arms are very strong, like never before. I have developed both physical and mental endurance. These days I'm going to repeat the series. I was fascinated by the ending, I love your furry children.❤️🏋️♀️🔥

Used 2x20kgs, 10kg and 5kgs
Also tried 23kgs for diamond press and swopped the pullover for landmine and used 23kgs.

My goodness, amazing strength! I am a guy and just started with this video! I could only manage this session with 1 lb (0.45 kg) dumbbells and had to stop around the 19 minute mark as my arms just gave up 😔

@@rupinjeremiah9589 Take your time, strength isn't built up over night, it's taken me a long 2 years of training but if you stick with the program I can promise you, you will gain strength and what you are using now will become light and you will need heavier weights 🤩💪
@@samanthamilner4486 Thank you! I will do this session again with half kg and try to last more minutes! I got really disheartened by the weights I could lift. I felt really very weak. Everyone here is soo muscular and strong, it just amazes me!

Good morning Caroline, this week started tougher than any previous, or at least that is what seems to me but I love every minute of it! Challenging our endurance and will is great! Thank you once more for putting so much effort in the workouts, it is much appreciated and there are results. I feel stronger with every new series and more ready to try new and old exercises.

I truly did not have much to give this today, but I powered through, and I'm so glad I did! I lowered my weights for a few things, and I can still feel it. Another great, sweaty workout! Thank you!
