- In this episode we race against the first and original CZcams sailing channel, SV Delos! They are the pioneers of the sailing channel world, and it was an absolute honor to put their Amel 53 up against our hurricane damaged Lagoon 450 in a race to determine whether a production catamaran could keep up with their blue water boat, which has done tens of thousands of miles around the world! SV Parlay is a hurricane damaged Lagoon 450 catamaran, which Colin rebuilt with friends and has started sailing around the world. They found bulkhead damage on their catamaran in Panama, so have fixed her up, and are almost ready to cross the Pacific Ocean!!

Delos was the first sailing channel I subscribed to, watched them take off from Mexico and followed as they went on around the globe! Saw so many new places and learned so much along the way. Thanks guys for sharing your adventures!

As a long time Delos fan (and having seen the race from their vlog) it's so fun seeing Brian, Karin and Sierra from the point of view of another boat and crew. Also, the large crew chemistry aboard Sailing Parlay Revival recalls for me the heyday of Delos. Exciting discovery for me, you have a new subscriber.

I am not big on people showing off or showing their asses, (so to speak).. ;) this is why I follow these channels.. Lots of great peeps here.....

Brilliant brilliant so cool to see you always make an adventure out of your encounters on the sea. I am sure it is not all a bed of roses but it great to see these adventures. As a retired active 67 year old living in Edmonton Alberta Canada I wish i came across your adventures 20 years ago. You are a very very cool person and people love your vibe and I do so look forward to your next port of calls. Don't forget your ability to teach everybody what you know from basics to more serious issues on the sea. This would be so helpful as a teaching/training of being on the high seas like you are.... You have created a very unique opportunity in your posts and you have taught many on "how too" with so much ease.
Brian is actually the first sailing channel that I started watching. They are amazing, but it's your channel that made me get off my butt and buy a sailboat. Your intro rings so true. 20 years from now I don't want to regret the things I didn't do. My boat is not hurricane damaged like yours but it's been totally stripped out by the previous owner. The hull seems good, but there are no systems on board. I figure it will take me about three years to splash, but at least I'm working on it instead of just watching CZcams channels and dreaming my life away.

Watched delos for years just started binge watching your channel from the start prefer it to Delos alot. I have watched 150 episodes of this channel through all the repairs etc & I can’t wait to watch the rest. I i mis brian & nugget but parlay much better especially now Jamie is back..👍👍👍🙏🇬🇧

Outstanding episode. Fun to watch and imagine being there with you guys. I do wonder however why Sierra the Delos baby does not have a life jacket on, always! Certainly not your business I get that but...I'm a father of (5) and I know things with small kids can happen in a second. Add unstable surfaces and water, someone please send them a childs life jacket!

Love the Delos collaboration video. You have my second favorite sailing channel right behind Brian, Kazza, and baby Nugs.
As shown in Delos's vlog this week, Brian planned a tack through the reef but Parlay warned him off. Captain Brian said he could've made it. I'm sure Colin didn't do it on purpose but it did have a losing effect on Delos's race. Not to mention that taking Kazza off of Delos and replacing her with a crew that did little to help Brian, well it was obvious Brian was a one-man crew. Brian was handicapped in the first race. With Kazza, they are a winning team! I love Parlay and Delos. Both are winners in my eyes. This was a fun episode. Excellent choice of music.
Great episode guys. Can’t wait for you to get rid of the filtered footage you have left over. Had a quick look at Delos and there footage is so much better to watch. Real blues rather than washed out greys!

Colin, it was your videos that brought me to sailing. I found your videos a year ago and when it said you will be more disappointed in the things you didn’t do, than the things you did… it got me to thinking how much I wanted to learn how to sail. I bought a small boat and fixed her up to be able to sail her, then took her out and I can say the feeling of the wind pushing her through the water was better than any power boat or jet ski I have ever been on. Now I have a larger more comfortable boat that I’m fixing up to sail. Thank you for your inspiration.
