- My 2023 Prius Prime was purchased last August 2023 and the interior driver’s side door molding is already split and cracked! Complained to Toyota and the dealer so let’s see what they say.

I don't know what's going on with Toyota. I got my brand new 2024 Prius Prime a month ago. Have needed to call road side assistance 3 times for a dead 12 volt battery. Car now with less than 700 miles. Has been at the dealer's shop more than with me. Problem still not resolved.
That’s awful and unacceptable, hopefully they make it right!
Seems to be a common problem with Hybrids, PHEVs and EVs. Lead acid 12 volt batteries are not the best in this applications. Without the loading of starting an internal combustion engine sulfate crystals can form on the plates.
@@nicholascrocker4329Chevy had this figured out 15 years ago I’m not sure why other EVs don’t come with AGM 12v batteries
I am replacing a VW with a Toyota because of it’s reliability. I’m sure your dealer will sort it for you. Matter of interest. Here in the UK any issue with a car is the responsibility of the dealer not the manufacturer.
Hi Nick, hoping this gets resolved and I will be seeing my dealer accordingly.
Surprising for a Toyota.
BTW, check your rear door handles:
Apparently the 2023 and 2024 Priuses *that were sold in Japan* have a problem with the rear door handles.
(Recalled in Japan.)

Agree and I just got the recall notice yesterday though haven’t noticed any issues of now. Thanks
Hope this won’t delay the delivery of my Prius Design which I ordered in March and due to arrive in the first batch to arrive in the UK in June/July
@@nicholascrocker4329 They don’t have a remedy yet.

Mind if I ask:
What exactly did they say the problem was?
Rear doors won’t open? Or what?
Even better: If you feel like it, why not make a brief video about it?
You could even show us the letter they sent you. So we could read their exact words.
(With your fingers covering up your name & address, of course.)
@@johnfromnewjerseyusa1369 John I actually detail and show the notice in my latest video czcams.com/video/vBQ4m7CAQKk/video.htmlsi=U3w4F6mKNT8PK0E_
