3 dislikes from Brutus, Pompey and Vercingetorix.
Any good and true Brutii should be able to jam to this masterful music. The same, however, can not be said for the bastard Scipii, those filth have become more Carthaginian than Roman.
The most iconic song in this playlist
This and Melee Cafe
yeah, a true anthem for this game
Mayhem, Forever and Divinitus are testaments, but this, probably, manages to be the most iconic of them all.
Nah Rome total war is.
"Prepare the Legion. We will do the old way."
All hail darkside🤘
15 years pass, and I still feel in the skin the epicity with that songs
The entire Rome Total War soundtrack is so amazing that English breaks down
to this day, still hits hard.... so good
Almost 20 years later but still amazing. Even modern big AAA games do not have such perfect mix of music and gameplay. Thanks to entire development team and musicians like Jeff and others. RTW will remain in my heart forever❤
The fact nobody looped this for an hour yet is a crime!
Well, get on it.

That third one was racist and xenophobic.
ngnl that sounds pretty fascistic
@@Bramandin Because it is, in origin i.e. Fasces which symbolised power and jurisdiction.
@@Bramandin Its because Romans invented fascism. All for the empire, nothing outside the empire. Mussolini was just a popular bald politician with a huge ego that tried to repurpose it for the modern times and failed miserably at that.
Both Roman Republic and Empire were nations ruled by rich, jingoist and xenophobic generals. They had everything you can expect from a fascist government, from citizenship classment (Patrician>Pleb>Freedmen> Slaves) to all aspect of life being centered around military. They saw themselves as the rightful rulers of the world and would conquer their neighbors for simply existing, they either assimilated or purged all nations and people they subjugated and they were SO racist that they would've made Himmler ashamed.
Overall 11/10 empire, would like to see them rise again.
I went to study abroad at Rome back in college and whenever our bus returned to the city after a day trip somewhere, I played this song when I caught site of Rome/was in the city. Indescribable feeling, this music is glorious!!
Nice.
That sounds hella epic
I can't stop laughing imagining this music while viewing the horrible outskirts of Rome with their ugly 60's housing
I would do that
reading this comment gives me the feeling of a reddit post

Comments are right - the song hits home even harder when you're in the Mediterranean and you can see Roman ruins around you. The history seeps up out of the ground at you!
The first time I fought a Roman faction as the Greeks this song played, it’s such a banger it almost had me rooting for my enemies.
Rome demands victory from you generals..todays our day!!
I used to listen to this song non-stop as a kid, as it reminded me of the Byzantines and the Fall of Constantinople for whatever reason. Good memories.
the reason is in the title
Yeah this reminds me of the old good times playing the game

Reminder: the last vestige of the
Roman Empire DIED FIGHTING. The very last Roman Emperor died amongst his soldiers, blade in hand.

Romes Finest!?
About three thousand years ago, the largest empire of the ancient world was born in a swampy area on the banks of the Tiber River. At first, only a handful of people lived on the mosquito-infested hills, but a few centuries later the Romans seized the entire territory of modern Italy. And not only. Where once there was a hotbed of malaria, an empire grew up, owning fifty provinces.
...and all so that Debrah from Kentucky can take a photo throwing up the V sign and pay three and a half euros for a small water.

in my opinion the best piece of music in all of total war games ! brings back so many childhood memories
I’ve played this entering more than a few ancient cities around the Mediterranean now - Rome, Volubilis, Petra, Caesarea Maritima, Nimes. It never gets old.
UNITS.
........MOVE OUT.
Still an electric pulse goes from my head to toes when i hear this. My general on the Pyrinees was Lucius Messala. He just decided to go throught the mountains and then 3 different Iberian armys collapsed into his men. They survived. They won. And in the most decisive moment of the battle, when just a few members of the general unit were alive, Lucius galloped along the front line surrounding his infantry, blowing the horn, with this masterpiece in the background ensuring the morale of his last men was infinite. Dude... that was so epic i even cry when i replay this. Thanks Jeff, and glory to ROME
„Units March!“PURE NOSTALGIA
The bus ride to Rome when I visited Italy for the first time was epic because of this piece of music.
Thank you Jeff. Truly masterpiece
Absolutely Siren-Like and enthralling, purely stunning and even greater to vanquish foes with - original Rome - Spartan Overkill.
Thank the Universe for Angela and Jeff!!

This is the best song ever
What a great Chidlhood we had!!!!!!!
This is a fine day to be a Roman going into battle! Every day is a fine day for a battle when your heart is set on doing your duty! Today, we go into battle against the Britons: men both mad and brave in equal measure! The enemy have aid, though! Their allies - if they deserve to be called as such - stand ready. Ready, probably, to run like chickens away from the pot! This is the last battle! This is the end of the war! The enemy are trapped in their last bolt hole! They must defeat us here, or perish from the world! So, let us send them howling into the afterlife! Let us take their city! Let us crush them, so that they are only recalled because our triumph here is recalled! They cower behind their walls, and pray for help! They slightly outnumber us, that much is true. And this means... very little! They have no stomach for war, I think! We must slaughter the enemy from a distance with missiles and wear them down! The auspices have been taken and, Gods be praised, nothing could be found to deny us victory today! With such portents, we need only march upon the enemy! Today, the carrion bird feasts! But they will feast upon our enemies, not on good Roman flesh!
Favourite song from the game.

Jeff could we please get an authorised version of Warrior March that doesn't have the speech at the beginning? Your music stands alone without the need for the speech, which is a little redolent of ham and cheese. You evoke the Roman empire, whereas the speech evokes a kind of BBC cliche of Romans.
warrior march is everyone but romans
General speeches in this game are like nothings else. Roman generals sound like americans and it's fucking amazing. It fits suprisingly well. Romans were basically the United States world police nation of the ancient times. Patriotic, militaristic and all that.
edit: removed "ur dumb" in the beginning
@@tacticalpasta6691 Yes, but Romans didn’t invade countries because they chose someone not keen to them. Plus if The us is the World police, it’s a very corrupt one at that.
Wish they kept this for the intro in the remaster
