And in both eastern and western battlefields. Van Dyck absolutely nailed the Ancient Era.
The later happy winning track makes the turn even more special. Accompanied by of course the lines a-la ''Rome demands victory from his generals! And this day is clearly our victory!!'' with the fitting cadence.

Not gonna lie the soundtrack is the one discipline Rome Total war has never been surpassed by its successors in.
Even Shogun 2 comes as second on that

How come I've never heard this speech before in game? It really captures the persistence of the Romans even in the face of potential defeat.
In Rome 1 the general speeches were tailored depending on if your leader had certain personality traits or certain experiences, so this one you probably only heard if you had a particularly bloodthirsty or violent leader is my guess

WooooooooOOOwww... Man this brings me back :'D At first i wasnt sure what song this was. But about 10 seconds before the first ''chorus'', the high point, THATS when i remember which of em it was. I immediately got chills, sitting there finally knowing what was coming. And after all these years, it still, it STILL is a joy to listen to again.
You did a really great job on this soundtrack. Listened to it for years and years. It really feels like your back in roman times. And the battle music was just perfect, absolutely perfect.
