    In 2021 I lengthend the chord of my electric hoist up to 23 feet. I showed it in a video, called up with CZcams heinz grabner steuerkabel schrägaufzug, because my electric hoist is fixed on a bar on the first floor. My lift is not fit yet for the save transport of my own person, but you showed us, it is possible. These electric hoists are cheap and often useful for a home-workers selfmade-lift. I used two of them to lift my shingles in 2017, when I covered the roof of one of my old farm buildings, built in 1850. Besides I built 2 stairway-lifts for the apartment house, that help me lifting firewood, food from the supermarket, et cetera, onto the first floor. - Greetings from Austria, Europe.

      Greetings. Very nice. Thanks for telling me about it.

    I am considering borrowing that design and adapting it for lifting solar panels. If I were able to get a winch with a high enough weight rating it would be great if it could lift two or three panels plus me up at a time. Could be a massive time saver

      Sounds like a creative idea. I hope it goes well.

    Phenomenal! That’s great.

  • @mediamattersismycockholste562

    that explains why I saw you levitating up to the roof from the roof view in one of your videos...

    Great idea! I just made one from your video and now I want to extend the cord. What size and type of wire did you use? Thanks.

    Real bummer if the cable snapped. But awesome I love the ingenuity!

    I must say, would not trust the little metal pads at bottom of ladder to secure a human rider from it slipping or moving, unless those foot pads were secured to the ground.

    Why the ladder doesn't slip with all that shaking?

    I'm in the processes of building one can you do a video on how you mounted the hoist to the ladder

      I have two videos on assembly to attach my hoists to a ladder. It's pretty easy except for cutting off the 4 inch led weight that comes on hoist motor cable. If you don't cut off the led weight it will drive you crazy bumping ever rung up and down. A portable band saw or reciprocal saw will do that in seconds but a hack saw will take a lot of sweat.

    you think it can transport a 5 ton compressor and tools up a say 24 ft plus ladder, amd could u show more details on the kit how is it supported and gliding on that ladder thanks

    • @Terryblount
      @Terryblount Před 6 lety +1

      You can put double the rated weight on a ladder but putting 5 tons on a 250lb rated ladder is way out of the ball park. 5 tons will flip over most rental cranes.

      Sorry should've described better 5 ton ac compressor is the btu rated not the weight of the compressor it probably weights 50 lbs approx
