What a mouthful of a video. Between the naming of the modules, systems, and connectors that was a 20 minute bowl full of Alphabet Soup. I've got some paddles from Evolve making their way over from the UK for mine, which should fit onto the NRW paddle adapters. Not entirely happy with the skeletonized look of the NRW ones I currently have. Reason I mention this is I think you'd probably enjoy the improvement you get on the FEEL of the switches: clickier and more satisfying.

Looks great, having ran my n54 dct pretty hard for the last 20k I can recommend the xhp flash for sure, it had a few niggles shifting but now it’s on revision 3 it seems smooth. Secondly it’s going to be interesting how the DCT fluid change gets on, pentosin is very expensive here in the uk and it would be nice to see some other fluids working without issues! Keep it up! Very impressed with all the work and research you've been doing, including all the experimentation you have been ballsy enough to tackle!
LOL if during your cluster swapping and programming you have EVER seen anything about a successful change of miles to kilometres for an e36 odometer PLEASE point me in the right direction. I have spent many hours and dollars on software, diagnostics, connectors... over the past decade with zero satisfaction.
OBVIOUSLY it knows the kilometer value because it is displayed and used in the OBC for its calculations AND the cluster has both units of measure in lights...
10 years of searching and the only answer I have ever seen is "swap the cluster for a German, Australian, or Canadian" one... I already added IndyGlo faces, chrome rings, and done all the surgery on the harnesses to add the 18 button OBC so that feels like a step backwards.

But being a diesel with a different box i wouldnt really know where to start. I havent worked out exactly what i am going to do with the paddles yet. But basically from my current understanding there are 3 or 4 different types of paddles on the e9x, aside from different functions (like push/pull or pull only) i think they basically put a different resistance level across the canbus. Im hoping to be able to measure the DCTs cars paddles and get my current ones working or outputting the correct resistance on the canbus system.... Hopefully will have some better info for you towards the end of the swap. The paddles will be the last bit i tackle and i may just fit the paddles from the DCT car to mine to get the main part of the swap working. But we'll see.

The SHIFT PADDLES of 6AT wouldn't work as I just done swap my 6AT direct to M-DCT, you will need to change it to LCI shift paddle or M3 paddles (my setup). For the rear differential I believe I am using a 3.08 currently because the rear section is from another donor vehicle but it is working perfectly, just for your referencing. • @ZeroTo60Tube

Faily difficult with an xdrive. You would need to adapt the DCT to a transfer case. I dont think there are off the shelf conversions for that. If i owned that car, i would go 8hp70. You can get the bolt in parts to make it work and it will be strong and faster than a DCT.
