How about visit to Pokemon Center near Tokyo station? Lol. There is Pokemon cafe but you need to reserve in front. 😁.. Let's see what is on their menu. I know that it isn't Japanese traditional but Pikachu san is known around the world. 😁.. Pika pika! ❤️😂
Sorry for the late comment! Pika pika😂

Between the restaurants, cafes and ekiben, you could eat and drink your way through Japan without ever leaving Tokyo Station. What an amazing place.
Yeah, Tokyo Station is recommended because there are restaurants from other places in Japan and plenty of shops!
I love ekiben so this was a very enjoyable vlog. Any bento with ikura is great for me. The kani bento at the end was wonderful too. Thank you enjoyed the whole vlog.
Thank you for watching our video! There were many ekiben at Tokyo Station!
I always enjoy seeing the variety of Ekiben meals. 🚅
There are so many ekiben at Tokyo Station that I always have a hard time deciding which one to choose!
I’m officially coming to Japan just to try all the yummy bentos!
Enjoy those Japanese bentos! :)
Thank you for sharing today’s video. I always running to the train instead of walking around Tokyo station. Next time, I will go early so I can around Tokyo station.
Thank you for watching our video!
Found your channel today as I am preparing for my first trip to Japan at the end of March. The videos are so well made and helpful for tourists! I'm really looking forward to my trip and am sure all your tips will help me have a great experience in Japan
どうもありがとう
Glad to hear that! Thank you😊
That's unique to Japan.
Maybe one of the things you should experience in Japan :)
So many choices! 🤤
Thank you for watching our video!
This is making me so excited for my upcoming trip to Japan!!! I’m celebrating my birthday there!
We hope this video will be helpful for your trip to Japan! By the way, our recommended bento is beef bento :) It was great!
@@samurai_junjiro this is very helpful indeed! Looking forward to trying your recommendations!
I'm going to Japan on Monday. I will get a box of beef ekiben you recommended, before board shinkansen to Yamagata
It's finally! We hope your trip to Japan will be fun!
@@samurai_junjiro 残念 I couldn't find your Beef Ekiben, I bought Nagoya Ekiben (Misokatsu and Hitsumabushi) instead.
I like buying sliced Katsu Sando for airplane /train rides… delicious and easy to eat
I like Katsu Sando too!
The best part is the sound effects when he's eating!
Glad you enjoyed this video😆
신칸센을 타면서 꼭 먹어보고싶습니다😀
도쿄역에는 많은 도시락이 있으므로 반드시 먹고 싶은 도시락을 찾을 수 있을 것입니다!
Thanks to your video now i know i have to grab ekiben before boarding shinkansen. i even make screenshots so i don't forget which to get. I'll have either ox tongue, conger eel, or crab meat. 😂
Bento boxes are available inside the Shinkansen and on the platforms, but there is not much variety, so it is recommended to buy before entering the gate of the Shinkansen!
I would buy these asap if they existed in Portugal, and those prices are bargains :o
Thank you for watching our video!
Thank you for another great video! I’ll be visiting Tokyo in April and I love eating tofu. Can you make a video about tofu specialty restaurants?
Many years ago I ate at a restaurant in Roppongi. I don’t remember the name, but everything they served were made out of tofu. It was so delicious!!
Thank you for watching our video! If we find a good place, we'll go there :)
@@samurai_junjiro thank you!! I look forward to it! 😊❤️
My favourites are the salmon bento at 4:28 and 11:11 Maybe I'll have both hehe
Yes! The salmon bento was delicious! ^^
🖤
Thank you for watching our video!
Does the store also have some vegetarian options for Ekiben apart from the egg & truffle sandwich Ekiben?
I don't think there are many vegetarian ekiben available. There are many stores in Tokyo Station that sell salads and prepared foods, so you may want to go to those stores :)
@@samurai_junjiro Thank you!! 🙂
This is a great video, thank you. My question - is there a way for tourists to find out what each ekiben contains? As the containers all seem to be written in Japanese only.
I'd suggest using the Google Translate app. I often see people using that app in restaurants that do not have English menus :)
Trains and food
Thank you for all your support!!
That seafood bowl bento!!!!ikura!!!!!👅👌🏻🙌🏻
Thank you for watching our video!
Can you buy Ekiben without taking the train in the tokyo station?
Yes, you can.
Yes, you can. Even if you don't take the train or Shinkansen (if you are outside the ticket gate), you can go inside the ticket gate when you purchase entrance fee at the ticketing booth. We've done it before :)

But...I already buy bento in tokyo Station under..
Try it next time! ^^
Wow how does the ox tongue bento heat up like that ? 🫢🤔 I’m very interested to know how that works. I love the hello kitty bento, it’s so gorgeous.
I would also like to know how it heats up!
There is an Aluminum foil pouch contained inside the Ekiben, under the food compartment. Pulling the activation string removes a separation strip that enables subcompartments containing Magnesium and Calcium Oxide to mix with Water inside the pouch. This starts a chemical reaction and the resulting heat transference warms up the meal. After approximately five minutes of warming, the meal can be consumed.
@@restaurantman oh wow that is fabulous. Thank you very much for the detailed explanation
@@AussieAngeS additional information on the chemical heaters. It's commonly used in military MREs but now there are also self heating meals that you can prepare yourself just with water.
Thank you for the comments guys!!
