  • A 1990 story by CBS on the international HET (Hudson-Essex-Terraplane) Club annual meet being held at Wichita, Kansas in the summer of that year. Then CBS news anchorman, Dan Rather, introduces the story. Most Hudsons seen here are the Hornet. But, if you look closely, you may be able to spot a Wasp, Super Six, Commadore, Pacemaker Jet or even a1930s Essex Terraplane. By the way, bet that book on "Japanese collectible cars" is no longer "the thinnest book in the world" today. And I believe that indeed is Gus Souza speaking at 2:25.

I'm satisfied with my '53 Super Wasp with its original "Twin H" powered, 262 Hudson engine. Tops out at 86 mph.
