Alright, gather 'round gearheads and history buffs alike, because today, we're diving headfirst into the delightful conundrum that is the Hudson Hornet. Now, you might think the Hornet is just another old relic in the annals of automotive history, but believe me, it's one of those cars that had star quality long before Pixar dressed it up in animation and made everyone nostalgic for a machine they'd never driven.

Read "On the Road" by Jack Kerouac. Hudson Hornet was Kerouac's favorite car for a cross-country trip. You could sit 4 across in the front seat because the "arm rests" were at seat level. The outside people had to have one cheek on the seat and the other on the armrest.

Ah, the Hudson Hornet - Kerouac’s chariot of choice for his cross-country escapades. Four across in the front seat? That’s practically a mobile living room! And the armrest cheek-balancing act? Pure automotive gymnastics. Thanks for the delightful tidbit - truly a car built for adventure!

Best friend of my father had a Gold one, nicknamed Goldbug, and ran like a scalded cat

Ah, the Gold Hudson Hornet, affectionately nicknamed Goldbug! Now there's a car with character. Ran like a scalded cat, you say? Sounds like it had more bite than bark. Your father's friend had quite the gem - pure automotive gold! Cheers to the Goldbug and its legendary speed!

Sorry, it really does handle pretty well. And, it wasn’t all that big, inside was cavernous, outside no bigger than anything else. A great ride and a great car, I can speak on these things because I owned one for about ten years, and I really enjoyed it, great family car rides like a dream come true.

Ah, the Hudson Hornet - a marvel of engineering! Handles well, you say? Absolutely. It's like driving a dream on wheels. Not as big as it seems, but roomy enough inside to fit a small army. Owning one for ten years? That’s a decade of pure motoring joy. A great family car that rides like a dream come true - couldn't have said it better myself! Cheers to your Hornet memories!

Enjoyable video with lots of good pictures but the text contained a lot of b.s. The Hudson was no bigger than other cars of it's era so parking it was no different than parking a Cadillac. The dashboard was similarly styled to Chevys or Fords of the same year, not science fiction styled. Hudson also had a small car, the Hudson Jet, that didn't do well in the marketplace. In fact that cars lack of sales is what led to Hudson having to merge with Nash to form AMC.

Ah, the Hudson Hornet - a legend wrapped in a bit of myth, it seems. Yes, parking it wasn't exactly akin to docking the Titanic, and the dashboard wasn't a leftover prop from Star Trek. And who could forget the Hudson Jet? A car so unpopular it practically begged Hudson to merge with Nash. Thanks for setting the record straight and keeping the comedy real! Cheers!
