The only thing that's wrong with these Vids is I can't give them 10 Likes. Always interesting, informative and relaxing to watch. Brilliant as always Matt.
Dad is so humble. Saying he doesn’t have enough for a Ferrari or Lamborghini. We all know he could afford those easily. Humble fella. Missed the guy. Glad he’s back!
A farmer won the lottery and a reporter asked him "what are you going to spend it on?" He replied " Ohhhh, I'll just keep farming until it's all gone!"
Just started seeding here in wa, first year growing gm canola. Getting those seed rates down, is a pain. Bloody expensive stuff. Good to see you getting on seeding. Keep the videos coming.
Great that Peter is taking a decent holiday. Not all farmers do. So well deserved. Let's hope his deputies didn't lark around too much in hi absence. 😂
Wow that seed struck after 2 days, that’s unreal, obviously good moisture and warmth in the soil 👍 good to see dad back. That last scene was outstanding, what an office you have to work in, very fortunate
Nice video my friend ❤♥❤❤ A very creative idea ❤❤♥❤ I look forward to seeing your designs. Congratulations on your journey forward 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚❤💚❤
I think Phil may have got air lol...he was smashing it or crushing it 🤔 , what's the word we use now ?? Thought Pete was looking a little thinner then last I saw him...a good feed of Phil's wife's scones , jam and cream would go down a treat I'm sure 👍
Question, was Phil on the phone the the Guinness world record people seeing if his bag toss could be measured??? You have to love those outback sunsets. I miss seeing them.
Great teamwork, Matt! I am told there is an old Hebrew proverb: "you can plant in the spring, or beg at harvest".. so true. God bless you and the family.
Is it hire a temporary grader? or is there a tractor pulled grader that could back up the big road grader, that could shift a few pebbles? Something like the small 'Collier and Miller' (Griffith) tractor road grader that the blue New Holland tractor might pull. (I remember the local branch of a larger company roadside maintenance contractor having to fly Downunder; a tractor mounted roadside mulcher from Europe $$$ to replace a written off mulcher in order to satisfy their contract with the local council/ roads rather than 'non-performance etc', the local distributor agent did not have a suitable mulcher in the warehouse)
Superb drone shots, Matt. An enforced timeout in the dirty old town, and there is a Ferrari and a Lamborghini, both bright red, in a garage about 100m down Parramatta Rd from my accommodation if you are interested but they might have a bit of trouble paddock bashing the drilling rows.
Hi sir. Nice farming there so easy because u have a machine like that different in Philippines. By the way I'm from Philippines and I'm a farmer too. I love seeing the ways u do Farmington there in Australia. I'm your new subcriber sir.
Great video once again...good explanation of seed planting. Is there a black cricket / grasshopper plaque up around Moore ?..they are bad down here in south western Victoria.
Your dad sounds so much like my dad. Send my dad to a hardware store to pick up some nuts and bolts, and he comes back with tape measures, torches, and tools or whatever catches his fancy.....and invariably forgets the nuts or bolts.....
Wow the bag of seed traveled some distance. Most people have no idea how much money farmers invest and hope for a return. Funny I had just worked out the price of seed from what you said in the previous video. Like $40000 for a tone but not so bad at $65 per Ha. Why is it so expensive 🤷♂️
I’d be nasty and make Phil walk out and carry the bags back teach him to take more care lol 😂 I know what it’s like at the end of the day all you can think about is get home and sit in a chair that doesn’t bounce have a decent feed a nice hot shower and lay the head on a pillow and hopefully dream of anything but tractors and crops , welcome back old fella hope you enjoyed your break you could have bought yourself a Lamborghini tractor that makes people’s ears prick up when you say , I think I’ll take the Lamborghini out the paddock today , I love watching people’s reaction to that statement you get some hilarious looks on faces , love watching you all in action all the best from Tassie
Bit of a long story but basically the place we sent it to apparently had all the parts needed and would be able to get it done in the timeframe we wanted👍 obviously it hadn’t worked that way😂
Hey Matt, my 9 year old son is asking if you prefer the steiger or the cat for drilling/planting/seeding? (He's forgiven you for not getting any footage of the cat tracks going back on with the refurbed drive wheels. 😂)
😂😂 it’s a good but tough question, the Steiger does it easy but has a wider footprint, there is less bouncing in the challenger. We are just glad we have it to use😁
Peter the boys are credit to you and you're wife .All the best mate.Peter

if he ever won the lottery he would spend it farming.
@@eddiemccosh6718 my mate used to say if I won the lottery I would buy some more work 😂😂. Don’t confuse business assets for expendable wealth though

why would he want an Italian Sport car he has D11's and Steiger Tractors ....
Great job spraying Matt
Hope u had a great holiday Peter
I find it interesting your planting at the same time in the southern hemisphere as we are here in the US of A.

Beautiful sunset 🌅 Matt
Great job seeding Phil

truly stunning sunset, if you told me it was sunrise i wouldn't of doubted you.
Great drone shots and great family God Bless
Mmmm, that's perfect seeding conditions, good for the soul Team.

Good to see dad back
I hope you put that seed back in and covered it up, thats your profit seed.
😂😂
I agree. I was wondering if he put that ONE seed back after exhuming the poor plant. 🙄
At sunset I would never get anything done standing in awe of it. How many of you work the farm 👍🏻🏴
Hi mate, we have 7 people doing various things👍
@@thejacksonbrothers you’re all kept busy then 👍🏻🏴
Thanks for sharing

Good to see the seed going in, did yous get much rain, Rain more to the southeast here, Cheers Bevan from Sapphire Central Queensland ❤🦘🦘🇦🇺
About 5mm, thankfully we have been planting deep enough that we didn’t need the rain to germinate👍

Im not used to seeing such a small drill!! Almost looks really simpld and not overwhelming like the new ones now days
Need a little WD40 on that seat. Good to see Peter again. That’s Farming when things Break. Good Luck
Yes not as noticeable in real life but the camera picks up the squeaks!
Great video once again...good explanation of seed planting. Is there a black cricket / grasshopper plaque up around Moore ?..they are bad down here in south western Victoria.
Thanks! Not yet at least👍

Spot on!
Machinery truly is amazing 👍 Glad your dad had some rnr, what a cracker sunset 🌅 what is that you are spraying ? Is that after the canola ?
Hi Rob, we were spraying gramoxone before the planter👍😁

Hi John, the varieties used are hybrids so they take a bit to get produced, you can use your own seed but with reduced yield👍
Question. Do the slopes on the swales affect seed depth and germination?
Not enough to cause a problem usually👍

For $600 a bag, I wouldn't feel bad about expecting durability!
Very true!
Hey Matt good job. Not sure if it has already been asked or you mentioned it but I am curious as to why you sent the cat motor to WA ?
Bit of a long story but basically the place we sent it to apparently had all the parts needed and would be able to get it done in the timeframe we wanted👍 obviously it hadn’t worked that way😂
Awesome video lads, hey where is Brad?
Thanks! He went on a quick anniversary holiday while this was being filmed👍

Keep smiling at least broken machines make good content.
How do you find the seeder bar?
Why don’t you run duals on your 550?
Hi mate, as we are doing a bit of development with rocky country we have been running singles so the rocks dont get caught between the duals👍
Curious as to how long before this rain on Saturday afternoon was it planted, given it has been a dry April 2023
Hi Jeff, it was planted about a week ago👍 haven’t had much rain yet😁
@@thejacksonbrothers Not that much here in Moree either as of now

How many kilos do you put your slug bait out at?
😂😂 about 1.8 /ha
Are they dingo tracks near the canola bag?
Most likely fox, don’t get dingos here👍 I hope
@@thejacksonbrothers big paws for a fox
and a bit to wide, fox tend to be narrow
I thought the same thing, it was curious like a dingo.

Why is canola seed so expensive and can you grow your own seed!?
Hi mark, you can grow your own seed but it will not yield as well, can be about a 30% reduction👍
Most seed is a hybrid now days, no good keeping your own seed. Seed companies have got it sown up, so to speak.
poor video all they show is talk and vehicles nothing eles
Black gold !!
