- Today we started seeding!!! We go through the normal process of the start of seeding, and work through the hiccups that occur.
Had a few stubble blocks but everyone was kept busy today and we actually had a very productive day of seeding!! - Krátké a kreslené filmy
Im from Brisbane and ive been watching some US farmers for a couple of years now, and youtube randomly recommended me one of your videos a few days ago. Just finished binging the last few weeks of videos it's so good to see an Aussie operation here with such great videos. Wishing you guys all the best you'll be bigger than Landline in no time 🤠
Glad you are loving the channel!!!
This is my new favourite farming channel👍👍👍
Glad to hear it!!!!!!
That was an awesome shot of the eagle man.
👌👌👌
Just a shame he attacked me!
Good luck seeding and spraying your crops for 2023 JH
Such a large operation and large machines. Nice to see.
Great work mate thanks for taking the time to make the videos !!
Glad you like them!
You should be really proud to have the first day of seeding go that well, normally it’s one problem after the other, even the wind decided to behave for you 😂😂
If you send a picture of your farm I can see if I could make it into a farm on farming simulator 22
I would love to see that
Great work!!! Love the videos!
G'day JH once again excellent footage on the eagle 🦅🦅 great to watch all the seeding prosess with the tanker put a right angle on the line an face the tap parallel it's up away from the ground happy farming mate 👍👍🚜🚜🚜
Excellent videos thanks.
Nice to see what's going on in agriculture in Australia as a German, especially in the area where I was working as a header driver in 2019
Awesome rig. Thanks for your work.
Glad you enjoy it!

Hi from nth Queensland and new subscriber. Love your content and time to start binging on your previous episodes and look forward to seeing more new ones
Welcome aboard!
Can't fault the WA skyline JH,done two seedings back to back in the late 90''s myself at Fitzgerald, one down the mallee road and one down the magenta road!! 👍🙂😎☀️ lol nice vidya!!👌🥳
What a set-up mate. Makes my little 26 ft DBS look tiny 😂 all gets seed in the ground though good stuff 👍🏼
Second comment, keep the videos up they are such high quality if u keep this up you will only grow from here good work boyys
Much appreciated!
Single disc drills becoming very popular here in Manitoba. Very good trash clearance and seeding depth consistency. Also a little faster travel speed. Higher upkeep though.
They are gaining popularity lately, and would be nice to not have the trash flow issues! I'm not sure we have the right soil for discs, and chemical incorporation is a big thing. But I think it would be something that I would have a look at when it comes to change out the bar and bin.
Don’t worry I do three headlands and do them first. Never see a difference at harvest
Glad I'm not alone! But I agree, we don't notice any difference come harvest time. The only thing I have noticed is on a very wet paddock this tractor smudges the ground when it turns at the end of the row and you do notice there. But that only on certain conditions.
try road tank repairs and services in Perth ask if they have a second hand one that's no good for fuel but be great for what you want
I was thinking is you can't get a replacement valve, consider a blanking plate adaptor and perhaps a ball valve? I'm still 9 months behind and I refuse to look ahead so it might be fixed.
Manitoba Canada with new holland seeder we seed on 5° because of stubble
Great vid, the 30 degree seeding explanation made perfect sense ., interested to know the fuel burn and def consumption whilst seeding and Does it run the deere or cummins engine?
Currently in these conditions we are burning around 58L and hour of diesel. We don't have def.
Great videos, how about a machinery/truck/Ute tour video. Interesting to us foreign viewers. Cheers
I might be able to get around to doing something like that after seeding when it all calms down
Jh ,.have you thought about using the wing frames that you cut. of to wide
n the smudge bar.gyou could use two more chains to support each w ing
I thought of doing that, however part of the wings are missing (taken for other projects) so it wouldn't be even towing behind the tractor. And just for simplicity and ease having the one solid bar works best for us.
Watching this while seeding😂
headlands first in every pdk I've planted in nz
HELLO BOM DIA .. ABRAÇO AQUI DO BRASIL
Cracking videos. Enjoying watching how you farm down there.
How much man’s do you farm?
Cheers from Yorkshire, England. 🍻🍻
We farm 4500 hectares split between wheat, barley and canola.
@@tomsbrookfarm well that will keep you out the ale house 😂🍻
Looking forward to following you through the year. Still find it hard to get me head round the size of some farms, compared to the uk. I also watch Mike Mitchell from Canada. Farmer like you and him saying oh we just got this small field to do a couple of thousand acres.
Thanks for getting back to me and please keep the videos coming. 🍻🍻
I think its rather incredible that in years past, to pull such a beast of a seeder and trailer, you would have had probably an articulated tractor with either duals or triples at each corner and now you have 1 tracked John Deere. So what is it? The tracks give you so much more traction or is it the tractor has so much more power or both? Nice video. Thanks for all the interesting information!!
نثاياليفيحىسح
It is hard to believe, but with the tracks there is actually more rubber to ground then what you would have with triples!!! So basically the tracks just provide a lot more traction!
@@tomsbrookfarm Watched a video from a farmer here in the states and he uses articulated John Deeres with a pair of tires at each corner. He also was stating what tractor was which and when I went to tractordata I can see why you use the 9520RT. It has MUCH more horsepower than these other ones and surely with the wide tracks more rubber on the ground. Good job!! One more thing.? Are you the owner or the general manager or both?
I'm the owner and the manager. Dad is still around on the farm and helping out but he is slowly working his way to retirement.
I thought you guys were just heading into Fall season. Is this normal seeding time for you? We're just about to start seeding here in Canada.
Yep! Normal time of year for us to start seeding. We only do a winter crop here
Reckon you’d get another bourgault or something with better trash flow
Not, sure. Will make that decision and see what is out there when the time comes to change the bar out.
Noticed in an earlier video you had "Blame Canada" on one of your field bins. How have we wronged you?
Haha the old blame Canada bin. So we had a chaser driver who was Canadian and she got a little to close to the bin with the chaser and sliced the bin open.
Easy fix but this was right around the time that South Park had come out with the song Blame Canada! So after dad had fixed the bin he got out the spray paint and wrote a little note for the chaser driver haha
When I was young we planted 1000 acres (400 hectares) of hybrid sorghum using 6 single row planters and 40 pound sacks of seed. Can you say S L O W?
That would of taken for ever!
Did you ever consider Fendt or Deutz Fahr tractors or have you always had JD?
We have always been John Deere. For us they are the best company to go with and they have amazing support down here!
How many acres does the tractor work on?
4500hectares
hello mate. Do you know the athertons down at Jerdacuttup ?
Yer I do
@@tomsbrookfarm I worked for them in 2018! When I watched a few of your videos I realised you were local to them. Awesome farming country out that way! And Esperance and hopetoun were so nice.
Just wondering where about are you guys based.
In the Esperance region on Western Australia
first comment
Why don't you have Australian flag on your equipment be great if you did.
I think the Pom and Kiwi driving the seeder would having something to say about that!
Why don’t you guy no till! We have gotten away from the hoe drills here in the states
Nice videos not disc ground were drill keep blocked rubbish is
