Might as well plug this, here's my "Raging Bullish" spoof short film: czcams.com/video/xI614JZBU4I/video.html
EXCELLENT JOB!!!! Excellent, excellent job! IMPECCABLE. (PS: I might as well take this opportunity to suggest: three Scorsese super-classics that do not have nearly enough reactions given their place in his filmography: "The King Of Comedy" (what he and Marty did AFTER Raging Bull), "After Hours" (what Marty did after that), and "Cape Fear" (De Niro and Scorsese's biggest box office together and one of the big films of the 90s......inexplicably only one reaction for it, even though it's a suspense action thriller). (Of course you've probably seen all three! I just can't take another Departed reaction when those three movies are left on the table! lol)
One more time with feeling: FANTASTIC job. Was blown away. Wasn't expecting it to be that well done. Your performance was hilarious. New Yawk accent perfect (and I'm a New Yawker myself) lol.
Can’t deny that Martin Scorsese has made many incredible films in his 50 years as a filmmaker. Looking forward to seeing this one
many incredible films*
My favourite film director along with Christopher Nolan
Fincher n scorcese>
I absolutely LOVE this trailer and how the line of "can you find the wolves in this picture" is used twice, in two VERY different scenarios. So smart and masterfully done!!
This is a great film that’s based off a great book that tells a great story, truly a heartbreaking story
My uncle is making a appearance in this film, so that’s a highlight for me
What's the book called?
@@jaegervfx07 killers of the flower moon : The osage murders and the birth of the fbi.
@@jaegervfx07 Killers of the Flower Moon, they share the same name!
@@papeya_Pics what part does your uncle play?
@@vancedadder he will be playing a member of the Osage Tribe
I'm not going to tell you about the plot of this film. But what's happening is much worse than what you think it is.
Yep. And it's based on a true story just makes it even more horrific.
Did you read the book and would you recommend reading it before watching the film?
@@AbbasAli11199 Well, the book is just a retelling of actual historical events. I would highly recommend reading the book, but I would also recommend looking up the Osage murders so you can get a sense of what the whole thing is about.
Read about it, one of the most messed up things I heard about.
If it doesn't have a happy ending..not gonna watch it.😅
Proudly First Nation NdN. We are here, now and always will be. Forever protectors of turtle Island!
The imagery is electrifying. Does it look like a movie directed by an 80 yo? I’m so hyped for late period Scorsese!!!
He's proven time and time again that he's one of the greats. Each decade he seems to evolve more and more. I have a feeling that this film will be one he's remembered for years down the line.
Greatest director who is alive
Yeah it’s based off a true story, unfortunately there are a lot of stories like this with what they did to the natives that aren’t shared amongst the masses in history like they should be. This film looks great, looks like that acting will also be. I hope a lot of people see this film.
100%. Growing up in Oklahoma... near multiple reservations... we still didn't learn much in school about events like this in school... similar to the Tulsa Race Riots. These things were either told to me by peers parents/grandparents or in college.
@@Kimbrell Very true. The American government keeps a lot of bad secrets from its citizens to turn us all into mindless patriots willing to die for them.
They did this to black American too on at least 13 times when white Americans became jealous of the wealth that all black towns and cities accumulating and just murdered the whole town and flood the cities so they couldn’t rebuild showing numerous times white Americans wanted to prevent black people becoming rich and independent, it is disgusting that Tulsa riot is not taught in American schools because it is too shameful for whites to learn this real history
PS: Just saw that De Caprio and Lily Gladstone got a NINE MINUTE standing ovation tonight at Cannes. The news broke within the last ten minutes. NOW I'm excited. Trailer is one thing; a buzz like that at Cannes is another.
Not to say this won't be a good film, but last year even The Whale got a standing ovation like that too, and that film was not anything special aside from the performance
@@WilliamButtlicker That is true! But I've also read the first reviews that are now coming in, and they're looking good too. The trailer looks good, too, definitely better than anything he's done with De Caprio (not a fan of the Marty/Leo films at all, although they're a lot better than the one he did with Nick Cage! lol). PS: Ovations at Cannes are not uncommon it's true. PSS: The new Todd Haynes movie - which also got a long ovation right after the Scorsese movie screening - also looks pretty good.
@@TTM9691 I'm also quite eager to see this, seems like Scorcese in his element. And I'm yet to check out the Todd Haynes one, it has Natalie Portman in it if i remember correctly.
@@WilliamButtlicker Totally agree, that was my feeling as well. I really haven't loved most of his post-Casino work so I'm definitely not a pushover, but this does look well-done. PS: Yeah, Portman and Julianne Moore. Again: don't love all of his movies, but he's made at least two with Julianne Moore that I love ("Safe" and "Far From Heaven") so I'm intrigued, it has a potentially interesting premise.
The book is really good and if are expecting Wolf of wall street, fun Scoresese film, this ain't it because the story is very dark. Also it's good to see Brendan Fraser and Jesse Plemons here😊
What a great trailer. Scoresese,Leo and Robert Di Nero together starring/ making a murder mystery. I am all for it.
Love the way you guys cut this reaction and discussion. Felt in tone with the trailer.
I'm willing to bet that once this movie comes out certain creators/commentators are gonna call it "woke propaganda" lmfao
It's Scorsese. It won't be woke. It will be grounded.
@@frankcarlosanaliza you didn't get OP's comment.
Sadly yes it will. Simply because it has leo in it, and it paints white Americans in a bad light.
@@LoveFactorySweatShop can you explain the blue pearl comment please?are the content creaters pro nationalist?
If you’ve read the comments on twitter a lot of ppl are already doing that. Some ppl are pissed this movie is being made
Gonna be the best film this year easily!
There are so less movies made around Native Americans. Really looking forward to this one.
Grew up in this area of Oklahoma. What's wild is growing up in Oklahoma we didn't learn much about these events along with the Tulsa Race Riots in Oklahoma History or any other history class until college. Excited for this movie.
4:10 thank you Achara! Respect 🙏🏽
This is true and focuses on one family. The Reign of Terror was a time of great fear and tragedy for our people. Many more were murdered than mentioned in the book and film.
It became bad enough that many Wazhazhe moved their entire family's as far away as they could get, to different states so they wouldn't be killed next.
I think that these events were briefly touched upon in an old movie called The FBI Story with Jimmy Stewart. Didn't go into it much though. Looking forward to this movie.
Very intense....and background score...❤
I'm soo looking forward to it.. DiCaprio, De Niro, Fraser.. all three my favorite actors in one movie directed by one of my favorite Film Makers of all time.. you already can tell it's gonna be 🔥
Brendan has a bit part. He filmed this 2 years ago for about 2 weeks. He's not getting an Oscar for this one.
Smile on my face watching Our Legend doing some moves, my shoulder follows the beat..layan kaw kaw
Love your little shocked faces. So cute!
Love the changes to the script. A pivot away from a procedural crime investigation drama.
Achara's "What's up" is cute AF.. ❤️. Plus the fact that this film is 3½ hours feels intense. Can't wait.
Thank you for reacting to this trailer.
Wow. What a trailer. Chills!
Goodfellas and Casino fans like it here 😮 !!!
First time watching you guys. Love how you watch the trailer in full first before commenting!
I’m so hyped
Without going into details (as the details will indeed spoil this entire movie), the investigstion that occured in real life for these murders, led to the formation of the FBI. As another commentor said, when you learn what this is based upon... you won't be ready. having done a report on the Osage murders in my senior year of high school (this was back in 2007... I am now 34), the entirety of the situation sickened me to the core, and it stuck with me for all these years.
That said, if you want to go in, fresh, and ready to learn... albeit in the most painful way possible, do NOT look up any details about the investigaton.
Can you find the wolves in this picture? Yes I can Jordan Belfort. Yes I can.
The cast..❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
Jaby and achara look tanned after their visit to india haha
I dont know who the DP is but the first 2 frames set the quality of the film. You ought to read a bit about the Osage murders before going it. It's brutal. Scorcese has still got it, damn !
The 1920s is well after the "Wild West," but it was still fresh in people's minds (and grudges, apropos).
this movie is gonna be Grim , the book is very sad and the true events that both the book and the movie are based on were straight up sinister
Thought the same about Brendan Fraser !
You know this is gonna be a hard watch
You (everyone watching this) should read the book as well. It has pictures as well.
Nice, thoughtful reaction (great point about the sound) FINALLY Scorsese makes a gangster movie from the VICTIMS' pov! He was getting carried away w the "wanna-be-a-gangster" ambivalence - finally we see him caring openly about the impact of such brutality, like Coppola did w Rainmaker
- IMO the ecstatic film-making is Scorsese re-connecting w his spiritual roots - the young Scorsese who wanted to become a priest - the Dostoevsky image of Harvey Keitel w his finger over the flame - his early Keitel films were focused on the question of spiritual responsibility, before DeNiro became his muse
- he revisited this w Last Temptation of Christ, Kundun, Bringing Out the Dead, and Silence - I see this re-awakened in him in this trailer, mixed maybe w DiCaprio's experience w Revenant - but something in his film-making looks galvanized
(I think that last image is channeling Goya - his scathing portrait of the royal family - Goya would be a good reference for Scorsese)
- nice to see him finally out-growing his impulse to glamorize amoral power
Please start watching Yellowstone 😊 this movie is loaded. Scorsese, Leo, DeNiro, Jesse Plemmons, Brendan Fraser. Wow.
Actually I want to see Brendan Fraser working Scorsese again with a bigger role. This was shot before his Oscar winning.
Damn good trailer, I got chills. Lifelong Scorsese fanatic and yet I'm in now way a pushover, there are lots of his films I don't like, especially post 1995 ("Casino"). This one however looks way up to standard, maybe I'm wrong, but I got chills watching that trailer (and emotional!). PS: Two fantastic movies that relate to the Native American/white settler experience is "The New World" (2001) and "Little Big Man" (1970), if you're looking for something to check out on or off the channel.
Casino is a great picture. It is very layered and symbolic like many of his other films. It is a bit like Goodfellas in Vegas and hence it is not held in high regard. But as a stand-alone it is better than 90 per cent of crap that comes out. This looks great because I think Scorsese sat on it for so long (especially the COVID time) and must have had the time in post production to polish, edit and make it even better.
The soundtrack makes me think of a train.
The actual story and book this is based on depicts some unbelievably horrific stuff. Pure human evil.
Hi folks, I am visiting here for a short moment and suggest you cover (Minamata) also, when you have time ;)
a little fact: this case started the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
Native American reservations & reserves are federal land. the police have no jurisdiction on any Native reservation & reserve because they are federal lands. if anythig happens on a Native reservation & reserve, the FBI has to deal with it. there are tribal cops, but the FBI also has jurisdiction over them like any cop in the city.
William Hale's character is by Robert de Niro
I'm pretty sure this movie gonna make me super uncomfortable and leave me with sweaty palms just as Shutter Island did. Another eerie score.
A movie set in 19 anything Oklahoma is gonna be hard to watch. In that time period, especially in those parts of America... if you weren't white, you weren't right.
Hence the birth of America,,,Hail American dream 🙏🙏
Finally
Wow
Where is the reaction for THE CREATOR movie trailer?
It's giving Oscar's
A deadly addiction
that has effected Every Life On Earth ever since it’s discovery and ultimately deadlier than the Atomic Bomb.
A black hole, here on Earth.
Can you find the wolves in this picture.... Aawooooo🐺
I don't know. I'm on the fence with this one. The cast looks great, the cinematography is beautiful, and it looks like an important story to tell, but it also seems very depressing. I'll see how I feel when it comes out.
There's another very sad forgotten tragic story and a warriors victory song charge of the great Cheney rush bloody conflict of the great depression of the twenty century! On the Crow creek sioux Indian reservation of SD northwest of the town stephan SD in a long narrow valley just below the hilly prairie land country along the beautiful Missouri River. A large encampment over sixty to eighty hunkpati Dakota sioux people were still definitely living on Cheney rush encampment! In spring of 1931 the continued harassment by the local towns people and the ranchers in the northern part of the reservation! That started the Buffalo County war or the Great war for the northern part of the reservation! Morning of the hot summer day of August 1931 the men left for a hunting trip on the other side of the reservation leaving their entire families and young pregnant young ladies to watch over the Cheney rush encampment site. Later on the same day a large party of over hundred American civilians had arrived there with guns and rifles very unannounced! They seriously wanted to take away the Dakota sioux Indian people's traditional Buffalo hunting grounds and our rich fertile farm lands along the beautiful Missouri River. The guilty intruders started to instantly kill everyone there! The elders were young children at the time saw an witness the tragedy unfolded there will hiding a safe distance away! Many years later they told the story well crying and wipt of the tragic brutal hateful torture to death at the Cheney rush massacre site, the second sand creek massacre of 1864! The only massacre in the us history someone tried to cover up the evidence that it never happened there! It's the most huanted place on the reservation an there's no memorial site because of the forgotten fallen Dakota sioux Indian people who wrongfully slaughtered there! The American civilians built a huge bound fire an burned the poor Dakota sioux Indian bodies burned ashes remains! Then they put the ashes remains north to the two small rolling hills to the north of the massacre site! The small rolling hill to the left side. The children want an told everyone on the reservation what happened to their own people who were killed there! The Dakota sioux men also heard of the very sad tragic story theirs hearts were broken from the lost of their love ones! The very next day over three hundred angered Dakota sioux Indian warriors were coming ready to fight against the American guilty intruders that actually started the conflict in the first place! Because of the sooner policy act the land take over act of the better half of the 20th century! The American civilians we're facing the warriors coming from a great distance away! Iron Nation's kul wicasa oyate Lakota sioux Indian warriors may have assisted in the fierce fighting battlefield! Dust would rise up from the horses hooves made a great impressive very intense bloody conflict battlefield scene! In the sioux warriors favor probably more Americans civilians were killed there! The rest of the defeated wounded weakened American intruders escaped or fled back across the reservation border lands! Never wanting to take back the hunkpati Dakota sioux people's traditional reservation Buffalo hunting grounds and our rich fertile farm lands along the beautiful Missouri River! The last true forgotten tragedy of the 20th century and the last forgotten Dakota and Lakota sioux warriors true victory song charge of the two summer days of August 1931! This how the once powerful great sioux nation gets a great resistance of retribution for the poor lost innocent murdered people at the Cheney rush massacre site! The massacre site is still there today half a mile northwest from the town stephan SD along the highway to the capital of Pierre SD. The Dakota sioux warrior people wouldn't never allow American intruders in their own reservation border lands again! Just because the wounded knee massacre had ended the brutal killings wouldn't stop there! It actually moved to another place! We're the intruders should have never mist with no one in the first place! The Osage Indian murders an the Cheney rush bloody conflict are two very different stories of the early twenty century! My historical information for today. Have a great fabulous wonderful day.
Read the book
Can you find the wolves in this picture?
If you are Native American you know this story very well and many more.
Cinema🤌🏻!! 😂😂😂
hmmm.... I wonder (not really) if they have the balls to heavily reference the Rockefellers in this???
I know about this story.....unfortunately
sadly, it's so much worse than just 'stealing the land' from the osage indians. sometimes the truth is more shocking than fiction.
T974
british & americans technically they both did mass killings & dont want their new generation to know about that......but they dont miss any chance of lecturing other countries on what is right & wrong!
mutt 😂😂😂
No one knows but Leo might be playing the bad character to screwed his wife.
So sad to see a movie like this wasted on Apple+. This belongs in the theater and on Blu-ray. Unless it will get a physical release, I will not watch it. I'm not going to subscribe to Apple+, not even for a month. The fact that Disney+ now removes content as well, that is not available anywhere else, was a wakeup call. We need to cut down on streaming as much as possible if the preservation of movies and shows is important to us.
It will be in theatres
Go to the cinema to watch it
It's getting a wide release.
@@Dularr That's good to hear. But it needs a physical media release, otherwise there is the risk that Apple will pull a Warner Discovery / Disney / Hulu and yanks their exclusive off the service with no other (legal) means to watch it, just so these soulless leeches in the upper echelons save on residuals and can cash in some bonuses to buy a fourth villa and an 8th yacht or something.
It's a world wide theatrical release. Apple just has the rights to stream it when it eventually comes to streaming. You want more movies to get theatrical releases? Go out an see them.
It looks incredible, but could they not have found an actual indigenous actress, rather than just a white women who identifies as indigenous, or at least someone who looks slightly indigenous. Just looks ridiculous, and makes it so unbelievable. I thought this was the age where we were pushing for diversity, inclusiveness, and representation, yet time after time indigenous characters are played by white people, it’s absolutely baffling. It’s so disrespectful to the poor people who suffered in the reality of this story.
Lily Gladstone is half Native American and half White and obviously identifies deeply with her Native American heritage.
Be glad that Scorsese has scruples.
Just like all the other Indian tribes, they didn't know where they were. There was no America. They didn't know what oil was until the frontier men told them. Even if they did know what it was they lacked the technology to drill even if they wanted too. The tribes refused to become citizens of the USA. When Sitting Bull made a deal with the US Government for a land exchange he was murdered by one of his own. Watch the film Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee. The Indians were not "displaced", they just refused to become Americans.
Contrarianism is not a substitute for intelligence.
@@KrasMazovHatesYourGuts This should be plastered on every street corner in this day and age. What a fitting quote for this age. Every one nowadays thinks if they have an opinion that's against the grain it automatically speaks of their intelligence.
@@KrasMazovHatesYourGuts Did that tribe know what state they were in? I doubt it because it wasn't founded yet. Now they live on white man guilt reservations via the US taxpayers.
@lockekappa500 Whatever the term (contrarian/Edgelord/Hot take, etc), it seems fashionable to go against the grain and say odd stuff no matter how stupid.
