  • Moving to Israel - making aliyah - is often celebrated with much fanfare. But plenty of immigrants - including me - sometimes thing about leaving ... and many take the ultimate step of relocating to other geographies.
In this podcast/video, I set out a few of my thoughts about the subject of post-aliyah, life as an oleh (Jewish immigrant in Israel), and staying committed to this choice.

Thanks Daniel that was fascinating. My feeling about Aliyah is that the strength of one’s connection to Israel is also governed by age. The older one is, the more certain one has to be of the requirement to have the economic wherewithal to make a success of it. When one is younger, one can afford to cut one’s losses and relocate. Well done for sticking it out and making a life for yourself. Does your wife have similar views to you about staying in Israel?!

It would be interesting to hear the stories of the different groups...the Russians ,North Africans ect. For a guy like you..western European to find it so challenging is an eye opener. Great little piece. Well done

Like the song says. There's nothing here not drenched in beer, blood and retribution. There's nothing in Ireland for anyone. ❤❤❤ Hope you don't mind me saying. It's joyous to hear the new you. A mensch for the land. Keep battling. And have kids for G-ds sake.
