- I'm kind of surprised I never thought to try individual filter modes based off stereo placement and summing to mono, but now you can try it with me!

Definitely worth a whole video!
this is absolutely insane, keep these comin dude
NICE
Saucy 👍
Cewl idea - shouts to Daft!
Cool tip.
Side note, audio levels in video production are worst when the video is made by someone in the audio production field...why is this a thing lol??
Filmed on a phone:)
Nice I need to figure this out on vital
Not possible on vital but you can do it with Ableton EQ, lfo, and utility
@@notificationsareblocked.yo53 Mid side is the only thing which doesnt work.. here's what i did
here's what i tried out in Vital. Take 3 same wavetables in the OSC.
Pan Left/Right, Middle
Route filt1/filt2/filt1+2 or Filterfx (can be tested in the end) all are some kind of Notch filters
apply 4 LFOs slow moving, same speed, but different Phase (you have to draw sadly)to the filters (4th is eq also used as mono notch)+ put them on all stereo in the matrix!!!!
put fx chain on (Distortion, Chorus, Eq(activate Notch in middle band, only for notch), filter, Multiband (OTT)
then put spread to 0%(next to voices theres a knob). so it's mono now!!!!
you'll hear the phase cancellations.
now you can detune the individual oscillators to crate further movement.
you might apply unison, (check out the unison settings(advanced) send them to somewhere under 1,maybe even 0.5 and now you can make even more cancellations with the unsion detune) it works pretty good. just a matter of how much of what modulation you use.
I did say in vital it was possible but the major difference is that you can have custom filters and as many as you want. Also summing you mono with the plug-in itself:)
@@Alckemy i just managed ms side setting. It's simple. osc1+2 left right and both on filter 1 with a Stereo modulation(so you get a contrary notch movement) and then for osc3 m signal on filter 2 ( regular modulation). ye phase plant is sick when it comes to this.
but (in vital)with the filter drive you get: 2 saturation stages (one simple+one normal) one notch filter synced for L/R on for mid 2 notch for all (fxfilter+ eq.... maybe phaser when set to freeze with a modulation) and fx for ALL of it. so no seperated processing in the fx department. i think biggest disadvanteage is frequency splitting and mutliple saturation stages when compared to phaseplant. sad you can't automate the eq points in phaseplant (at least it didn't work as i tried the demo). that is usually pretty huge in neuro.
lol was sceptical in terms of messing with the phase until you said to sum it back to mono. Nice idea :)
while it does create silence at times it can often be rhythmic and pleasing to the ear. Thank you for watching!
@@Alckemy Lovely content mate!
Would you say i would need multi pass?
Snap heap will do just fine
@@Alckemy sweet 👍
Does this work in the grid
It will work with eq+!
@@Alckemy cool, ill try it out! Thanks for your answer and I surely hope you get to 10k soon Alckemy! :)
