I can't believe I've been sleeping on Ars Nouveau. I've been itching for a replacement for Thaumcraft for years.

If you are looking for a "replacement" Mana&Artifice is as close as you are Gona get, and people are sleeping massively on it for some reason
you know tc7 will release in the next year or two… the CoFH group that made thermal is working on finishing it right now!!

@@agent5657 plus, Mana and Artifice is made by the same dev who did Ars Magica 2, which I think was the inspiration for Ars Noveau
This is the best series I've found for the mod. I was just randomly experimenting in game, but needed more information. After a few other guides I'm glad I found this one, the whole series is very clear and I understand it a lot more; I will be using this as my reference. Thanks :)
Thank you so much for mentioning when major things changed from the previous version of the mod, it was really helpful since I am coming from an older version and I was here for a refresh but sat down for a full watch once I realized how many things have changed. No complaints on that though it's kind of cool, reminds me of Thaumcraft in that way. Wonderful walkthrough :)

The Flashing Archwood trees.. I have not seen them nor are they in the creative menu. I am using 1.19.2 MC using Forge and I think.... the latest Ars Nouveau... Thank you for this vid!

You need to add ars elemental too for it to be available
What mod do you use to see the recipes? Because i'm not able to look for them inside the game and it's been a headache.
If it Jei or Rei how do i turn on the option to check them

I'm playing a modpack with ars included. I need to know what a wilden den looks like so I can find one and farm up at it. Nobody shows this off. Is it small? is it big enough that I can see it while flying around?

when i try to put a lapis lazuli to make a source gem it just says recipt invalid
This mod is great but the armor textures are bugged for me so I look super janky using this armor. How can I fix this? I have installed other versions of this mod but I cannot get rid of the buggy armor textures for some reason
If I may ask, what WAILA-type mod do you use that allows the item-preview-box-thing to have a transition animation when looking back and forth at different blocks?

For some reason I can't make the abjuration essence no mater what I do I'm playing medieval minecraft mmc4 forge
1.16.5 my crafting table doesn't let me make source stone. Will probably have to put it in creative mode. But I think I have cheats disabled 😅
ive tested it on how far the Source collection range is and its 14 blocks
The Table isnt working everytime i do it puts the Spellbook on the table
When I open up the guidebook it only sends me to the wiki page?

The agriculture one can cover 706 total blocks around it.

Hmmm playing Rad2, sees like Ars Novous there doesn't have the alteration table so we cant augment our armours.
So to get him to put the berries in any of the 9 barrels do I have to link him to each barrel?

The Spell wheel is by pressing V. It's default inside Ars Nouveau and not a separate mod

Hey so I downloaded it and some recipes are saying no recipe found try putting alters closer but they are right next to the thing I just want to make a magebloom seed is it the source because creative source jars allowed it to be made but survival I have 5 source jars next to it can I get some help
make sure you are using the right items as well as the right pedestal. Also make sure you have a core under the apparatus
so for me the scribes table isnt working first of second many recipes are very different even for the scribes table i am on the last version what is going on ? i am playing the roguelike dnd 2
What version of minecraft is that? Making glyphs is very different in earlier versions of Ars Nouveau

Ok, I'm French and I thank you a lot for this very helpful video. All thought, I don't really understand what is the difference between each type of armor, which is the best between the 3 options if I don't care about defence but I want to use a lot of powerfull spells

That’s exactly how you do it. If it’s not working for you then I’m not sure why it isn’t working
So Im guessing I wont get an answer, but when I try to make the Air Essence the chat show "No recipe found." I have the setup exactly like this 18:38 but it wont work? Im in 1.18.2 if that helps, but I should have the materials (feathe, arrow, wilden wing) in the right spots as well as 5 full jars to do it, so I dont understand whats going wrong?
i would check the in game book to make sure those are in the game. when i played on 1.16.5 these were not in the game, now im playing in 1.20.1 and they are. The in game book should have a recipe for you and if not then check the JEI for the imbuement chamber recipes. The version youre playing might not have them.

I haven't played 1.20.1 so I don't know. I imagine they haven't changed it though and I say in this video. Surround a source gem with stone
im running around the magic forest and i cant get any starbuncles to spawn. im even running around with magic vision so i dont miss anything.
It sounds like your are just really unlucky unfortunately
So if you really have trouble you can place an arcane core next to a unemployed villager and the tier three trades of the shady wizard are always shards. There are only four types of shards and you get two types so it’s a 50/50 shot you get the starbunkle the first time. I don’t find I have trouble with finding starbunkles or drygmy but I almost always use this tactic as getting wixies can be a huge pain. You’ll want the other trades anyhow. They can have a trade to buy fibers or amethyst shards which are both like getting emeralds for free.

I cant even use the enchanting apparatus, it says that no receipe found, and that there must be pedestals in 3 block radius, but the apparatus is surrounded by pedestals, just like in the video, why does is that happening?
Do you have the core under the enchanting apparatus? Or maybe a source jar nearby
I already discovered why I couldnt, there was a pedestal next to the enchanting place, and it somehow blocked the enchanting apparatus from working bruh, but still, thank you for trying to help! thank you for the tutorial, without it, I would never play ars and always think that its a too complicated mods, that is so complicated, that I would die of old age before I would understood 1% of the mod

This is basically just a clone of mana and artifice
can you teach how to use glyph press? ( minecraft version 1.16)
Won’t be doing a video for that but it’s simple. Each tier of glyph has a certain level of gel. To craft a glyph you put a tier of gel in and then a catalyst item to mix with it. Make sure you are supplying source to it and it will auto craft and pop out. JEI will say what the crafts are for each glyph

Just make sure u have at least 16 gig of ram,

If you are using just JEI, Jade and ars nouveau then nearly nothing. 4gb of ram is enough. If you have a bigger pack with 200 mods then 8 gigs of ram would be minimum but 10-12 gigs would be recommended
What is source for?
Use it for rituals, like over growth, or flight
You also need it for upgrading armour
You need it for everything besides spells in this mod
