Absolutely incredible showcase, Iâm never usually a fan of magic mods in modpacks, they always seem too complicated, but this was such an excellent and in-depth explanation that Iâm now super excited to try it out myself!
Well,if you want some simple magic mob,you can use the electroblob's wizardry mod.

@@immortalsun They are working on a 1.16.5 port to get a better base of the new changes since it is a lot different of 1.12.2, then after finishing it they plan to do even newer versions but it can take time cuz there is basically one single guy working on this I guess
Ars Noveau and "Mana and Artifice" are both spiritual successors of Ars Magicka. They feel different so sometimes modpacks add them both!

This mod and the way the spells work really remind me of a game called Noita. It's a platformer dungeon runner with some amazing spell creation mechanics where you mix and max orders of different modifiers and effect. Some will kill you, others might carry you through the run. This mod gives very similar vibes

wow so much to learn on this mod. I'm playing plexiglass mountains and I am still getting into all the mods but now I wish I started on this one. it seems to have so many useful things for early game and transitions nicely into late game builds. Also seems best to build your base around source generations. I have loads of farm lands that I would have preferred to have built to be compatible with source generation

What button do you use to cast spells?? I've been playing the RAD 2 Modpack and it utilizes Ars Nouveau a bit. I have the spellbook and made a spell, but I can't figure out how to launch the projectile. I have the projectile form and a harm effect afterwards, but I can't seem to figure out how to cast, idk what I'm doing wrong.
Edit: The answer for those with a similar question, is raise magic skill to lvl 5, I had noticed a tooltip I had originally missed. I got there through a combination of mining all the source ore I could find and a few skill ups from quest rewards. Though I imagine that building the apparatus' and using them and other such things could also net magic exp, not sure though, so don't quote me. Still learning this mod pack.

Mod just updated so glyphs are out of date in this video. You don't need a glyph press any more, just use the scribe table
Also everything is explained by the book in the mod in depth
